I decided to give Midnight a chance and bought the epic edition. I spend some time yesterday and i got a nice feeling and had fun for several hours. This morning I wanted to try matchmaking and queued for an Instance. 15 min in i got vote kicked for no reason. It was normal difficulty. On top of that the game penalize me with a debuff so I cant queue for another 30 mins.

This was one of the reason why I left WoW. Sad to see the community have not changed at all. I spent alot of money to just experience this again feels like a giant slap in my face. Good thing though is that in Midnight. Blizzard have made it easier than ever to play without interacting with other players.

Tip for an improvement. Make it possible to report players through the chat panel

A community isn’t defined by one to four random, nonchalant players, for starters. Every MMO has moments like this. None of them are some kind of utopia, no matter how hard certain overly positive FF14 fans try to sell that image.

If a single bad dungeon group can completely ruin the experience for you, it might be healthier to either step away from matchmaking entirely or find a guild or steady group to run content with. That usually makes a world of difference.

Hang it there. :hugs:

Firstly let me say, yes it sucks to be removed from a group, especially when we don’t feel we did anything wrong.

It is not reportable because it’s not against the rules. The vote to kick system works the simple premis that majority rules. One person nominates another and the other three vote if they agree or disagree. The ability to vote no to the kick is instantly active, while wanting to agree to the kick makes players wait.

I do not understand why some of the playerbase are such a nightmare in group content. We are all new to the dungeons, we all have to learn where to go and what to do.

It’s best not to let something like this ruin your day. It’s annoying but not the end of the world. I did a lot of the dungeons while levelling with followers simply because I’m dps and it’s faster for me to queue that way. Once I reached cap I started doing them with my guild as we did a heroic tour. We had to enter manually because we were all below the required ilvl.

It sucks and it’s why I don’t do PuGs anymore, but I get the feeling it’s a bit of a problem in online gaming in general not exclusively wow, I played some Overwatch and old school RuneScape recentely and it was a nightmare.

Make friends, play with friends, problem solved.

Why rely on lackluster strangers when you can have reliable few?

You are in EA with people who most likely watched clips on how to do the dungeon and have no time for people to learn on their runs.

Sadly a lot of people in wow are like this. They are narcissists and only care for their own self and to rats you go if you do not keep up.

That was the reason i left in digust the last time. I got kicked for some BS reason such as not wanting to deal with people in above 7 keys who do not know mechanics…..at the end of the expansion.

I got a penalty. That literally sent me into a rage and i let loose here on the forums with my exact feelings. Lucky me with the language i used i did not show my face for a few months.

Not banned. But not bought midnight either and am working on old stuff and playign classic.

Getting penalized for things not my fault ticked me off to no end

Surely u did something but that something is dabatable. Most of time in retail why people being kicked is because afk.

Thats not true no one kicking no one at early acces or begining of expansion even later on because mehanics in normal dungeon LOL

People who watching clips about dungeon will not use lfd system. They do premade .

Its either something like slow tank going mob a time or someone just afking or someone starts argue with a friend group and gets voted out. Only thing that can try against that really is play chat disabled, I dont speak to randoms in dungeons and I dont afk so I havent been kicked in long enough time to not even remember when I would been kicked but I have voted yes when some tanks were pulling 1 mob a time in normal dungeon.

And I’ll ask you the same question i ask everyone who says “nah you’re lying dude, you did something to deserve it…” Were you there?

You must be new. That’s been happening since they brought in the vote kick.

I still remember vividly getting kicked because the tank told me I was a hacker because I was rolling a feral druid named Crazyladycat with the title “The Crazy Cat Lady”.

Kindly show what rule/s I broke except to upset some little darling who thinks they can dictate what people call their character.

lol… Yeah you’re definitely new…

I presume you also were very sympathetic when the tank said “Ok fair enough I’ll pull the entire dungeon in one go” and die in three hits while you all die in one hit…

Tank controls the tempo of the dungeon. Not the DPS or the healers.

If they want to control the tempo next time. Roll a tank.

Wow, a completely incorrect statement, how rare.

Two in one reply? Now that’s a delicacy.

Yes, tanks pull. It’s also normal to see groups initiate kicks in normal dungeons if they think its going too slow or if some is afking. Anyone they kick with that system they get replacement in min or two.

Dunno why are you getting personal but if I would try reply related your message with something that make sense then I would say that people do quite big pulls in normal dungeons, there is no issue pulling multiple packs. If you have some personal issue with me then lets put ignores on each other and leave it on that. I dont need this.

I did play tank in pve and usually do if my class can tank, I got no issue with that.

A single instance is enough to blanket the entire community..?

I’ve been doing follower dungeons so that I cannot be kicked.

The dungeon finder just puts anyone with anyone, someone who is doing the dungeons for the first time to have fun can be matched with someone who hates WoW and will rampage at anything.

I havent tested those but those are prolly good for people who want to avoid not being kicked for whatever reason they have or just dont want play with randoms.

I cant remember when I would been kicked from dungeon but I can see how easily friend groups could vote kick people out with majority vote if someone start argue with them. I dont particularly play chat muted all the time or avoid talking but I dont run in arguments in random dungeons, I just do the run and get out. They are too easy and bit boring Imo

Yep, and normal dungeons are a breeze. The people that know it generally dont look to have much patience with “new” or “slow” they initiate kick if someone is not doing dmg or pulling or whatever.

Yes. They do. IF they are confident enough to be able to handle the aggro gains.

However. Some tanks AREN’T comfortable doing that, they preferto do the pulling at THEIR pace, so… If the DPS or whoever decides to take into their own hands and pull everything on sight then cause everyone to die, how is that the tank’s fault?

I have a very simple rule if I’m tanking. “You pull it, you deal with it. If you die. Oh well. Lesson learned eh?”

So again, as I have also asked for what seems decades now, why are they being tarbrushed as bad players or whatever who deserve to be kicked because they’re not pulling mega pulls?

They are quite good. The DPS doesn’t giga zerg so it’s possible to see mechanics from bosses and trash. I can just go in without reading a guide, which I would read if I used LFD.

I’ll still check up the journal and probably some guides before M+ though.

Usually in that scenario I’ve seen that people initiate the kick on that dps then. The system arent great and like ppl said in the thread, many instances no one even needs to do anything “wrong” and majority vote kicks someone. I see “friend groups” do it all the time, some 3-4 ppl group join instance and annoy someone and when some talks them back they vote kick the guy. I press no in those cases. If some is just standing afk or miles behind others I press yes but I dont rly care, the dungeon is over in 5min even if some is new or not. Normal dungeons are a breeze.

I might have to just try them, I like mmos but I dont in general enjoy playing with random ppl

Don’t PUG is terrible advice. WoW is designed specifically to discourage forming social networks with systems like RIO, where you are reduced to a number.

If Blizzard cared about the community there would be positive reinforcement systems built-in. You could upvote players you liked being matched with, and in the future they would be matched more often with you if they also voted for you. To create automatically forming social networks.

But WoW is built on the old formula for elitism where making a number go up is all that matters. Being toxic is built into the game.

I miss the times when we had arena as more relevant content than its now, I liked having mates who we played arena with and hang out in comms having a laugh. Well same for m+ with the groups I played we become pretty good mates even outside our team.

I just cant imagine what comes of mmo if everything is made soloable or solo content, I dont have similar interest to get “friendly” with randoms and I dont in general like to go in comms with random ppl in shooters either, I like to get to know ppl before we start hanging out, but I’m old dude so maybe its me. But thats another topic.

Those numbers you refer to are majorly only used in LFG trying to figure who they pick from the ppl queueing their group, nobodys rank or rio has any meaning to anybody outside of that situation in LFG I imagine.
