Routing through Sydney for EU

Hey long story short for the last 5 days whenever i join dungeons/raids my game becomes unplayable.
Made ticket and got prompted to seek help in forums.
Tracert shows my game is being routed via asia/sydney telstra global or smthing.
I play EU twisting nether and from Greece.
Any insight would be appreciated ^ tnx in advance

Blizzard are NOT responsible for your ISP’s routing choices. You will have to take it up with your ISP, and their “front line” will probably not have a clue what you’re talking about, sadly.

I’ve noticed a lot of ISP’s are making… questionable… routing choices just lately.

If the ISP can’t or won’t fix it, then a VPN may be a solution.

That said while its not a Blizzard issue, if Blizzard reached out to them, they would have more of a chance of being taken seriously, than a customer would.

ISP reply his only responsible up to like the n7-8 hop …the one before i get routed to sydney australia.
My isp is Wind/Nova for whoever cares…I think vodafone has similar issues taking into consideration guildies etc…

@Denneveq ISP told me to use tracert and they will check it out u know what is the IP for wow servers EU?

there was an official blizz post with them but removed…
EU:
185.60.112.157
185.60.112.158
185.60.114.159
tried first 2 seem pretty ok but the last one routes me to sydney  dunno though if those are still legit…made a ticket here and gave them my tracerts…their reply was to seek answers in forums
lastly i asked them if they can give me an IP to tracert and if those i did are legit and they said this ::
Greetings,

We’re aware of the current issues affecting World of Warcraft servers and are actively investigating the cause. We understand the frustration and appreciate your patience as we work to get things back to normal.

If you’re playing on a Hardcore server and your character died during this downtime, please note that Customer Support is not able to revive Hardcore characters. However, we encourage you to share your experience on the official forums so we can track affected players.

Please try logging in again later, and thank you for bearing with us.

Nova told me that since everything is <40ms until hop 6-7 its not their problem…isp is only responsible for routing up to hop6-7…all after that is blizzards…thats what nova told me…

Yea same here from nova they said everything is working fine and its blizzard server issue. This is what they answer me today sry for big spam: We understand how frustrating it can be to experience crashing, freezing, or performance issues in the Battle.net game/app. Our goal is to help you resolve these problems swiftly so you can get back to playing. Please follow the steps outlined below, and if the issue persists, consider reaching out to the game forums or consulting with a local technical expert for further assistance.

Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Update Graphics Drivers and Windows:
Make sure your graphics drivers and operating system are fully up-to-date. Updated drivers often include optimizations that improve game performance. For more information, see our guide here: Updating Graphics Drivers. https://battle.net/support/en/article/000031024

  2. Verify Game Files:
If using the Blizzard Battle.net launcher, you can verify the integrity of your game files by selecting the game, clicking the “Options” menu, and choosing “Scan and Repair.” This process can resolve issues caused by corrupted or missing game files.

  3. Disable Background Applications:
Close any unnecessary background applications that might interfere with the performance of the Battle.net App or the game itself. Learn how to manage background applications here: Managing Background Applications. https://battle.net/support/en/article/000023848

  4. Run as Administrator:
Ensure the game has the required permissions by right-clicking the Battle.net App shortcut or executable and selecting “Run as Administrator.” This can prevent access issues that might affect game performance.

  5. Adjust In-Game Settings:
Lowering your in-game graphics settings can reduce strain on your system, especially if you’re experiencing performance issues. Experiment with different settings to find the best balance between visual quality and performance.

  6. Check for Overheating:
High temperatures in your system’s CPU or GPU can cause crashes and freezes. Monitor your system’s temperatures while playing and ensure proper ventilation. Cleaning dust from your computer components can also help improve cooling. For additional tips, check out our guide: Checking for Overheating. https://battle.net/support/en/article/000031363

  7. Reinstall the Game/App:
If none of the above steps work, try uninstalling the game, restarting your computer, and reinstalling it. Corrupted installation files can cause various performance issues, and a fresh installation may resolve them.

I see more ppl make posts last hour with same issue so its 100% blizzard prob

its so random though …done a couple of keys yesterday had zero issues except 1 floodgate that when we made first pull my game became unplayable…havent tried today

The actual server addresses are considered commercially sensitive, and not disclosed to players (though there are ways to discover them, which I will not be discussing here), as they have been significantly DDOS’d in the past.

Blizzard DO provide 3 IP’s for the purpose of tracert, but they are not actual game servers.
