RP and Lore assistance needed regarding the hated WOD time-travel cluster f-!

As the title says I am looking for help understanding/working with the time-traveling madness that Blizzard subjected us to with WOD. I am fully aware how frustrated the lore fans are with this subject, so apologies in advance for even bringing this up.

So, without beating around the bush too much my goal is to see if I can use the time-jump established during the Mag’har allied race recruitment quest to RP a character who was born on Alternate Universe Draenor during WOD and is now on Main Universe Azeroth as a fully grown adult. Specifically I want to RP a character who was fathered by the main character I played during WOD, and is reunited with their father in the present day as an adult.

So first I want to make sure my “ground rules” are correct, and from my research I have come to these main conclusions:

  • AU Draenor is a pocket dimension containing an alternate version of Draenor 30-ish years in the past (at the time we visit in WOD), and it is now imploding in on itself or quickly decaying (?) due to the unstable nature of the pocket dimension.
  • While portals/connections between the two universes have been permanently severed, one portal was reopened to bring a significant number of Mag’har orcs from AU Draenor to MU Azeroth to permanently reside with us in the MU.
  • 30-35 years have passed on AU Draenor due to either a sped-up passage of time in that universe or because the Bronze Dragons who created the one-time portal intentionally went forward in time for whatever reason.

So based on these “ground rules” (assuming they are solid) it is plausible in my mind that someone born during the WOD campaign could theoretically arrive on Azeroth during BFA along with the Mag’har refugees as an adult due to the sped-up passage of time in that universe. This is the main foundation of my RP and if anyone sees any holes in it please let me know.

Now, assuming the aforementioned foundation is solid I have a couple more questions.
Firstly, according to the Mag’har allied race quest the Draeni on Draenor went a little crazy, became fanatical under the leadership of Yrel (worstly written character arc ever) and attacked the peaceful orcs, driving them to near extinction and thus creating the Mag’har refugees we eventually recruit into the Horde. It is a very black and white story with little to no depth and full of plot holes in my opinion. Like, did all the Draeni go mad like Yrel? If so, why? Could some of the Draeni stay, you know, normal and chill people like they were when we met them in WOD? And if so could it be possible some might have tried to help the innocent orcs who were just trying to live their lives?

Essentially, if you haven’t figured it out yet, the character I want to RP is a Draeni. The idea being that a MU Draeni copulated with an AU Draeni and had a child. That child grew up to be a NORMAL non-fanatical light-infused zealot, and did the decent thing and tried to help the orcs survive, possibly invoking the ire of Yrel and her crew and maybe was even exiled or something. Then, in honor of their overall non-awfulness to the orcs, they were allowed to accompany them to MU Azeroth where they can now look for their father, and I can use that whole “dad, you left me in a dying universe” plot to spur a lot of their motivations.

Any pointers or obvious plot holes (other than the plethora Blizzard has given us) will be much appreciated! Thanks!
