Hello Everyone.
I have been wondering, for a while now about BfA narrative and I would like to ask the help of the RP community.
The exercise is difficult, so I understand if it’s impossible.
I like to get inside my character, a Blood Elf who grew with a human girl together, they became friends and they still meet even through there’s a war going.
This is to explain why she isn’t s normal Blood Elf, she can see both sides of the war and feel extremely uncomfortable, with her actions, even through she is a soldier and has to do what she’s told to.
In reality it’s this character and my alliance alt.
I can’t RP as Tyrande as I don’t have a deep knowledge of Night Elf lore.
But through the eyes of my character, I can see a leader who was suspicious of the Horde at the beginning, trusted at some point in time in the Horde to cooperate, with her in Legion, but was betrayed on BfA.
It’s said that next expansion, will be Legion like. Everyone unites for a greater good.
Now how that will work for Tyrande ?
Through what my character as seen, in the Burning of Teldrassil and the Darkshore warfront, where she is asked to kill and resurrect Night Elf soldiers, the only possible outcome, she sees in Tyrande’s mind is:
- Kill every Horde soldier, member in Kalimdor and put their heads on pikes on top of a burning Ogrimar for a reminder of what happens when people mess with the Night Elfs.
- The key word on my idea is: trust.
Once it’s gone, it never returns.
Thing’s can’t be erased no matter what justifications you come with, even if it’s old Gods related.
My question again, is this interpretation too radical ?
Because BfA and WoT events remind me of a story I read when I was young.
The story of a old sailor who told lies about his incredible deeds when he was young, which everyone at the bar laughed when he left.
One day he told an epic story of a storm who caught him on the sea no matter how much he struggled, he couldn’t save himself.
One more persistent sailor asked him how he got out. He had to admit … He died … Basically he admitted he was telling a lie and that was his end.
That’s what WoT looks to me.
What’s your opinion ?
Thanks for your attention.
Cheers.
