Hi all, I’m sure there’s an answer to this that I’m not seeing, but are their any RP communities or Discords that you can join if you want to RP but you’re not on an RP server? Or is it hopeless unless you’re actually on Argent Dawn or some such?

That actually sounds like a pretty great idea. I haven’t heard of one however, sorry.

What prevents you from RPing on Argent Dawn on an alt? You really don’t have to be max level; community’s open here. You will have much easier time finding RP b/c you won’t have to be invited to on-realm groups/raids all the time.

Rping on a pve server is nearly hopeless in all forms, you may have some tiny groups spread that do it for the lols. But we got roleplay servers for a reason.
With that said, if you can find someone to help you enter a phase for a roleplay server then you should be fully able to do roleplay. As for specific servers for such is a grey spot as most just make an alt on a roleplay server.
But if you join a discord or some such and explain the situation then chances are that you will find supportive people as we very much wish for more roleplayers.

The level squish and scaling has made getting into RP at any level much easier to be honest. It used to be that people would ideally want you to be max level for RP/PVP fights and to go to the newer zones, but this expansion barely anyone has a reason to go to the Shadowlands IC and RP/PVP campaigns got traded out for simple emote fights ages ago. Just levelling an alt up to say, 30, will give you a perfect RP alt, heck, even level 10 will do if you just want to stay in cities!

The issue is not being in a guild, especially since that is where I’ve heard the good stuff happens Horde side. Had some fun with alts on the Alliance side yes, but can’t really commit to a guild on two servers.
Sounds like I just need to try and make some friends that will keep me in the loop. Thanks for the advice!
There is not to my knowledge groups specially to hop realms, but I imagine that if you go for a bit with an alt (even a AD alt of your main after all!) You can make some friends who’ll help you hop with bnet.
