Greetings, community! The Altari and Redbrew Tavern proudly present the Greyhold Tournament. Which will last from friday the 10th of April till Sunday the 12th of April. It is something we consider an oppurtunity for enjoyable roleplay, and to that end we will be organising both martial events where people can compete in the spirit of sportmanship and martial skill, and social events where people can relax and have a good time together!
We are hoping you might be interested in such, which is why we are sharing the event on the forums as well, and are using it for people to sign up to our server-event. If it is well received, we hope that we could even make this an annual thing.
However, we’ll leave the judgement to you! To give you a sense of what we are about and what we are offering, I am leaving some information below. I also encourage you to check out the Argent Archives link, which contains vital information on the rules and how the various competitions will work

Skill:
In order to acknowledge that characters can possess varying levels of skill and talents, we have issued a system which allows slight positive modifiers to your rolls, or negatively modify them, depending on the skill of your character. Choose appropriately, and state your skill-level upon signing up for this event.
Make sure that during the event you state your skill level in your TRP
(Inexperienced - -5 to your rolls.)
(Average - no roll modifiers)
(Adept - +5 to rolls.)
(Experienced, +8 to rolls.)
List of Competitions:
The Joust.
The Joust will consist of two opposing participants to face against one another in horseback, both must be in full armour, and carry an appropriate lance and shield in order to participate The participant with the most hits at the end, or who manages to unhorse their opponent, advances in the lists.
The Duelling.
One versus one combat. Duelling matches, where both participants fight until one has been struck three time by their opponent. The winner will advance in the lists. The last combatant who lasts until the end shall reap the rewards.
The Archery Competition.
A test of archery skill. For this competition, only traditional bows are allowed, no crossbows or rifles. The archers will fire upon three marks, the closer their shot is to the bullseye, the higher the score. They will participate against another archer. The one with the highest score will advance in the lists.
The Grand Melee.
Team versus team mock battles. In order to participate as a team, you require a total of four members. Both sides begin opposite of one another, and when the signal is given will do battle. When a participant is struck three times during the engagement, they are out. The team which stands, wins and advances in the lists.
Social Events:
Social events will take place after the competitions on each day of the tournament, providing distraction and entertainment from the main events for those who are interested in additional and more socially centred activities.
Public Banquet;
On the evening of the first night of the tournament, a public banquet will be held. This banquet will commence between 23:00 - 24:00. The food and alcohol there will be free of charge and available to all those who attend the tournament. A time and place for people to unwind and relax after a busy day of tourneying, to food, drink and the tunes of experienced bards.
The Race;
On the second evening, a race will be organised, taking place in the lands around the Tournament’s location. The racers will go on a long course, not completely devoid of obstacles. They will need to reach the finish in order to succeed. The first person to cross the finish line will win the race and be granted a prize.
Champion’s Ceremony & Fireworks Show;
On the third and final evening of the tournament, a brief ceremony will take place to honour the champions of the tournament and reward them with their prizes. Afterwards, a fireworks show will follow to properly conclude the Tournament itself.

((The Event will take place at Greyhold, Gilneas. A castle located by the sea in a swampy Gilnean county called Greymarch, in the isolated mountain ranges west of Stormglen. We are using Theramore to oocly represent this castle. This location is not canon, and can be considered as part of Argent Dawn’s server lore.
