only good with Goldshire is the low geared peoples you can farm honor from that’s all …
Every community has its bad apples. I once heard of a server where the Horde RPers were doing some really creepy things, to the point they were chased away from the server.
In DnD related forums there is a whole “horror stories” subsection where people describe creepy moments they experienced with some strangers around an RP table IRL.
That’s not what RP is about though. I am pretty sure you can just put creepy people in your ignore list and be done with it.
some times just ignore them does not help … they run afther u for hours u cant quest they killing all the quest mobs …
I appreciate that people are into it. But it’s just not for everyone.
And there’s nothing worse than when you’re going about enjoying your day and then some RP’er comes along and tries correcting you on something that you don’t really care enough about because it’s just a game.
As I say, it’s cool that you’re into it. But it’s not for everyone.
Hmmm RPers will try sometimes to attract others into their community. I don’t think it’s wrong to try.
But it is definitely wrong to insist on it if a player is not interested. As I have already said some people will never bother with RPing, and that’s ok.
I just want to point out RPing doesn’t mean it’s not just a game. We roleplay exactly because it is just a game. If someone confuses actual reality with the game then they are doing something wrong.
I’ve had experiences with an RP’er where I’ve been chatting potential future Lore ideas with friends and they over heard. And because my version of future lore, didn’t fit their narrative, there was no way it could ever become a thing. But they didn’t just allow me to continue about my day, they just never let it go and kept on and on and on about how wrong this was.
It was a horrible experience.
imagon getting reported by RPers for failed ropeplay when u dont RP …
Ignore those people and if they insist bothering you with their headcanon report them for harassment. I feel you, it must have been horrible. As I said, all communities have bad apples. If you find people with whom you can connect with, RPing is a really fun experience.
Of course it’s not, but as you have said time and time again Billyblue this game isn’t made for just one sub-set and RP is a legitimate part of the game, as much as the MMO, that is how it’s marketed and that’s why a lot of people pick it up as well.
And as to the popularity, it has it’s fans Argent Dawn as a server is full, so content is already catered to the Raider’s and the PVP’ers, but we have been left behind. So it’s not for everyone but it’s for a lot of us ![]()
I am also sad you have had such a horrible experience with RP, it seems there really are some people who need to let people do what they enjoy. I can commiserate with you to a certain extent because I haven’t done any group content for a long while after some horrific experiences with pug groups in wrath. I think that was the real end to group gaming for me, I just lost the heart to hang out with people like that!! (hugs)
There is no such report. Those people are just sad. Ignore them and go on with your game. And if they obstruct your gameplay and keep harassing you then you have a legitimate reason to report them. And in my experience it is easy to avoid people in the game.
RP is not my cup of tea, I just can’t act out as if I’m a character. I think it takes a whole different kind of creativity to do that, that I just don’t have.
I think it’s awesome to see people be that passionate and have that kind of imagination to do RP. I always think it’s a shame when non RPers set up camp on RP realms. There are so many Normal realms for the rest of us to join.
Volmir I would be interested very much in joining a group with this as a core premise, maybe based on a group of adventurers thrown together who become friends.
My husband once theorised that a good RP for a small group would be the base premise of the 80’s dungeons and dragons cartoon, a group of gamers who actually found their real life counterparts catapulted into the world of Azeroth.
However just being able to play alongside like-minded people would be awesome. I know you aren’t on AD yet, but when you are sign me up ![]()
Draenor horde goes to Argent Drawn to farm honor tru world pvp becourse RP servers has no sharding/layering not for to RP ![]()
That’s cool and all, but Goldshire man.
Yeah, and that’s cringe. Argent Dawn has no sharding for a reason: to help roleplayers actually roleplay by letting them see each other in the open world.
The only way to get on AD from another realm is to be invited over.
yeap thats why i have Horde Char on Argent Drawn ![]()
I invite them over i get easy free honor in return a win win situation ![]()
I’m not quite sure how you can farm honour unless they choose to be in WM on.
Too hard to find people willing to do PvP on your own WM on shard?
I… don’t think admiting Win-trading on the Forum is a good idea ![]()
Just stay away from it and you will be fine. After all, if someone tries to publicly say something creepy you can just ignore/report them.
