I play Sun Shiao, a travelling Lorewalker. I wanted something new and different, and so my aim with him will be (unsurprisingly) travelling across Azeroth, emulating how the life of Song. As Song once travelled from one end of the Pandaren Empire to the other, sharing the wisdom of Kang, Sun Shiao will be sharing equal wisdom, as well of other tales from the Pandaren (and hopefully learning new stories from the people of wider Azeroth).
I have him on both factions (A: Shiao, H: Sunshiao), which will only serve to better the experience for all. I will be using this thread to share when and where I will be hosting lessons and discussions. Please use this thread, message me in-game, or contact me over Discord at Svadas#6667, if you would like to have a short-term guild tag-along, to suggest a location/topic, offer feedback, or even just a friendly bump.
For what it’s worth, I can heartily recommend Sun! I played with the character a couple of days ago doing just that - exchanging tales - and I had an absolute blast!
Come this weekend, I will be in Pandaria! Fingers crossed it’ll be in time to watch the Cloud Serpent Race. Expect a public story to be told sometime next week. Watch this thread!
Following the end of the Ballad of the Seven Fjords, Sun has returned to Pandaria. He will be spending a week or so in the Jade Forest, and will also be sharing stories this Thursday night, 20:00 server time. Come along, and learn of Pandaria’s history! @ Temple of the Jade Serpent.
Tonight, I had the privilege of hosting a trip to Pandaria for the Reliquary Institute, taking them through Halfhill, sharing stories of Liu Lang, before a visit to the Serpent’s Spine, sharing stories of Celestials, Mogu Emperors, and the Mantid. There was a fun-filled night, and I hope it won’t be the last!
Are you, your guild, or simply a group of friends looking for either a Pandaren guide, or otherwise rotund tagalong? Please, reach out!
Sun Shiao’s storytelling is just superb! I was sitting on the edge of my chair wanting to learn more and listen to more of his stories and his talks about Pandaria!
It was very interesting to hear the lore of Pandaria from the point of view of a Pandaren Loremaster and theorise and discuss many different matters going form history to morals!
The evening started in Halfhill where we had an insight in the more urban way of the Pandaren. We enjoyed the market, the farmland, stories of Liu Lang and the great turtle of Shen-zin Su.
We ended on the great Wall of Pandaria with the story of how and why it was built, and the story of how the Pandaren freed themselves from the Mogu yoke that was beset upon them.
Throw a bit of personal and emotional moments in the end in addition to all these things and I can say with a certainty this event was a 11/10 for me. I will most defenitely join the events of this awesome Loremaster should I dates align!
I hosted an event this evening, or atleast to begin with believed that I were to host an event to which I had begun looking for NPCs and bumped into Sun.
Out of an administrative purpose the setup was getting extemely stressful with some NPCs canceling due to IRL and… Let’s face it, we don’t always have our edge on, and this was one of those evenings for me.
Out comes Sun Shiao with a barrage of his activities that he had planned, some new creative visions on running events that I had not thought about before as a beginning DM and absolutely -SAVED- my evening!
If you were to ever consider an Lorewalker for your events and did NOT contact Sun, it would be like voluntarily accepting a Demon offering you their felblood.
[Hot tip: It’s a bad idea to accept a drink from a demon. Especially felblood.]
