Hello once more AD!
I’ve come to show you Two new tricks i found recently.
[Holding Weapons as Caster]
This trick is for who uses as class Casters.
When you right click a mob that may be either Hostile or neutral, You character will enter a combact pose. For Melee, the pose will be them grabbing they’r weapons:
[Example]:
As for Casters thought, they will have a pose that makes them look ready to use spells:
[Example]:
Now, some people don’t mind this, but in some situation i would like my character to hold his weapon even if he’s a caster, since an enemy could be close or anything else.
I have found a way to make your character hold his weapon, Thanks to the new Winterveil toy: Falling Star Catcher!
How to do it? Very Simple!
Get your character into his “Combact Pose” [Right click an Neutral/Hostile Enemy afar]
And boom, With 2 simple steps your caster character will hold his weapon!
This is also great for Dracthyrs, since they’r Basic combact pose in both Dracthyr and Visage form are they’r “Fist” attacks.
[Basic Attack]
This toy is also great, since when you use it once, it will give you the toy buff, and if you click it again, your character will do an animation of a basic attack!
(I don’t have a pc screen record and neither a way to pubblish it )
There is a simpler one for using your melee combat animation as a caster. When you have right clicked an attackable NPC, begin casting your hearthstone and then cancel it. Your spellcaster animation should now be replaced with your character holding their weapon until you stop targetting the mob.
I’ve been using a toy that allows you to set fire to dead players instead
basically I think any item that causes you to briefly assume another animation will overwrite the new spellcaster stance for the older melee stance.
Similar for rogues or warriors with ranged weapons, but if you use the Draenor wand toy (forget it’s name) instead of HS, then cancel said toy you’ll have your bow or gun out until you stop targeting an attackable mob.
You can also do the same thing with the “Dazzling Rod” toy; arguably in a more subtle way. It’s also a way for a non-hunter (only tested on rogues, mind you) to use hunter animations when holding a ranged weapon (of said type). The animation/pose is client side for hunters… but non-hunters? Server side. Weird but very cool to utilize for RP!
Adding to this, it works for rogues and warriors both!
Weirdly, if you have a backpack that hides your weapon on your back, like the Recruit-a-friend one, it doesn’t work, but, say, the black dragonscale backpack is fine!
Can just unequip and re-equip your backpiece for it, though. I use it often just to get cool gun stances on my warriors!
