Ruby Whelp Shell - Worth It?

I got mine from a recent run and everyday I’m teaching it the aoe skill on the aoe group of 5 mannequins in Valdrakken. Immediately after that I check if it improves with a 5 mins fight on those aoe mannequins and the results are not satisfactory at all. Today I will teach it for the 6th time and reach max level on aoe but yesterday the damage percentage of the trinket was still under 1% of my total damage.
Is that all I can expect from this trinket or am I missing something or doing something wrong? Are any fellow warriors prefering this over other trinkets like puzzle box, windscar or normal Torch?

I mean it can be ok depending on ilvl, and what you currently have.
Id recommend simming it with your setup, (make sure you pick ruby aoe under trinkets).

Well no not in general, at the same ilvl ruby falls behind both puzzle and windscar, but could outperform your current greiftorch.

Thanks, I will but as an old school player I find more intresting and amusing a discussion compared to cold numbers. It can show some shade of gray that numbers may hide and personal experiences won’t.

I tried it on a couple of characters (trained the whelp daily for a week and a half on one of them) and it performed poorly the entire time.

Go for Puzzle-box and something else like a stat stick.

Thanks for tour feedback. I truly don’t understand all the hype for this trinket if those are the numbers. Unfortunately my puzzle box Is like 389 so I’m currently using tre Grieftorch (hope to find the hc one in the bank) and the windscar. Expecially in tyrannical weeks It gives me a bit of single and a bit of aoe with quite short cds.

Little update. It’s confirmed that the aoe option sucks. I’m currently training the haste buff one, but it’s gonna be 5 more day long. It should be better.
