Greetings, dear brothers and sisters in death. I was wondering why we never got the runic tattoos as a customization option, considering that lore-wise they serve as an extra runic power reservoir. We’ve seen Koltira wearing them, so it has always perplexed me as to why the player character never got the option to display them as well. I personally think that this is the perfect opportunity for us to get what is rightfully ours, and enrich our looks with a thematic and awesome new customization option.
What do you say, brothers and sisters? I’d love to hear yer opinions on this.
Indeed, the runes are used on the weapons, in order to channel the death magic we wield as one of the three schools of death magic: frost, blood or unholy. The ruunic tattoos however, serve as a reservoir for the runic power, as was shown by our now inactive artifact trait which used to increase our runic power pool. Koltira’ runic tattoos are the best known example.
And just imagine the possibilities! So many shapes, patterns! It would be a small, yet important addition to us, especially since we’re already rather lacking in the customization department compared to the demon hunters. And it would give us yet another thing which would be unique to us, which would be most welcome now that our unique hair colours are available to all.
