Running wow on a SSD, but loading times still long... any help please?

Hey, as my title says, i recently bought a new laptop and saw people suggesting to use wow from an ssd for faster loading times etc… i bought a 2tb SSD and installed wow onto this… but the game still has crazy long loading times and i’m just hoping that someone can tell me if i need to change a setting as it seems like a waste of 80£?

the ssd is a seagate one touch if that makes a difference?

thank you

How much ram do you have? ive noticed that going from 16gb to 8gb makes a hell of a difference

Running WoW on an NVE.m2 drive, with 32GB of ram and the loading is still dreadfully.
Pretty sure it’s the addons at this point causing issues.

Addons can drastically increase loading times. Without it’s super quick, with it takes like 20+s for me logging in.

i’m running 16GB of ram on my laptop, and only run around 7 addons whilst i’m online

I wish :dracthyr_lulmao:

You can try
/console worldPreloadNonCritical 0

What it does is allows you to zone in a tad faster while you move around stuff will be loading in still. Not a major thing but it does help with the loading a bit, so that you wont be stuck in that loading screen forever.

And if you don’t like the idea just paste this in to go back to the normal variant.
/console worldPreloadNonCritical 1
