For several months, European support forums have been polluted with Russian trolls and low-level propaganda.
Just watch the latest topics to understand.
Looks like this is from the same people, it’s been going on for months, you can’t ban these accounts or moderate?
These subjects have nothing to do there and remain tens of hours online without any action being taken.
So, the EU forums are abandoned, we understood it for a while, but you’re really going to completely abandon the support forums leaving this pollution?
Yeah there has been tons of obvious propaganda everywhere since the start of the ukra-russia war. Even on meme sites or sites like wow they feel the need to post this stuff everywhere. It made me use these sites way less because it was so annoying how both sides are doing this. But its kinda funny how the russian ones dont even try to hide the fact its propaganda and are so in your face.
Whats the point of doing this on a customer support forum tho lol. The only people visiting those are people wich have problems and will likely only visit to see if customer support reacted to their topic
Only been seen by blues would be the best. I can imagine some actual new players might actually seek out support forums to ask for help instead of the general forums. Not knowing there are barely any blues out there
The Blizzard support model is as follows - try to make the player go to wowhead / reddit / other to get the player to be someone else’s problem. If that fails, do your very best to make tickets slow / crumblesome / user unfriendly - hope that player gives up.
Then, you try to send them to the support forum, in a last ditch attempt to have the player helped by another player. Because, and I do not blame the one actual person working with support, that saves the company money.
Make the support experience suck. Give users the ability to become ‘moderators’, that can flag posts that then get caught by an automated system. Make sure to not moderate your own system. Then do your very best hands-together and pray that the players wont leave the game in frustration.
By Elune am I glad that I am too far gone to ever leave. Because they caught me young, in a time where GMs fixed things ingame and a phonecall would solve any issues in less than five minutes. Now it is days of waiting to get a bot answering you “Please check wowhead or ask on the forum for help on your isse.” While you sit there… fuming.
My point after this unhinged rant? Don’t expect blizzard to care. Just flag it so the automation gets it. That is all.
I find NATO propaganda as cringy-overt as can be, but much less fun from what I can see.
But OK, I agree with the attempt to hide the true intention with western communications. It’s just not very skillful because they never had to learn to be, so they simply accuse others of exactly what they have been doing documentedly for ages. You can kinda read them as announcements of their next steps, even.
It’s maybe kinda like how the Chinese government used to do it when they mostly only had practice with domestic propaganda and then applied that style worldwide. These days they can simply state the truth to cause an outrage.
Generally, the prophetic movie “Idiocracy” has been fulfilled through testing times. It was already here, but unchallenged.
But about that spamming … Yeah, well, it exposes the flaws in the system. It shows the weakness. It’s kind of evolutionary/darwinist in that way.
Masking swearing is against the forum rules, whilst I totally understand it’s frustrating waiting for moderation to happen, which it will, I would hate for you to get into trouble.
To post in General Discussion you have to have a subscription/game time. They can’t post here.
The forum they post in requires no subscription so they constantly create a new battlenet, write that rubbish, get reported, get banned and create a new one etc.
