Russians have a bad reputation because of their country. Because of the widespread corruption there that seeps into gaming too. With hacking, cheating and otherwise unwanted behaviour often rearing its ugly head with players from that region.
Second reason is purely from a geographical viewpoint. To many europeans, russians simply do not belong on ‘our’ servers.
I’m not calling anyone anything to be clear. The above is simply an explanation to a question you asked.

The only people that hate Russians are those that are members of the “we hate Russians” club. Yes there are some (that right there is the magic word) but not many. It’s about the same amount of people as in the “we hate Mexicans” club and also the same amount as in the “we hate Germans” club.
There are more people in the “we hate people who ask stoopid questions” club (textbook sarcasm right there).
In short MOST people don’t have a problem with anyone else no matter where they come from.
I hate playing with them in Skirmishes.
Simply because they don’t speak English. You can’t even say “kill the shaman” to focus a target in a skirmish, because they won’t understand and just do whatever.
They should just not make people from different language servers team together in skirms tbh.
Or anywhere for that matter.
I don’t think it’s as much that Europeans hate Russians as it is Russians thinking Europeans hate them.
I don’t “hate” Russians but like 90% of the time when there are more than one Russian in my group they start talking to each other in cyrillic and generally lack communication skills or refuse to communicate causing wipes etc.
I’m not going to judge or dislike all Russians but i cant deny that i usually have bad experiences interacting with Russian players.
I don’t hate russians, but they seem to take advantage of 3rd party programs pretty often.
I remember when I played a lot of arenas in the past. If we met russians, kickbot would be used - and it was literally every time
Names written in cyrillic script stand out and are associated with a specific country by most people; Russia. Names written in latin script aren’t associated with a specific country or people because the latin script is seen as the norm.
So when an individual that happens to have a name written in cyrillic script does something stupid, it’s very easy for people to connect the two and blame the stupid on the person being “russian” because of the simple fact that it’s an noticable difference from the norm. And the person doesn’t even have to be Russian, they just have to exhibit the same superficial characteristics. Like in the case of OP here. (and everytime they see another person with the same characteristics doing something stupid, the idea is strengthened)
It’s kinda the same problem some minority groups deal with. They stand out from the norm, so when an individual from that group does something bad or dumb, it’s easy to blame it on the whole group being different. It’s very stupid.

Dude, relax. You can find bad people everywhere. I am russian and i play both on eu and ru servers and met a lot of such individuals. Blacklist was invented for these things) As russians say “fools are few but they are skillfully located” 
It’s mainly adults acting like kids.

I’ve just come back from keys. People hated each other in French, English and Polish for not hitting the explosive orbs in the dungeon.
Hate has nothing to do with nationality. It’s just a part of human’s nature, you can’t do anything with it.
I did a LFD and teamed up with 3 (I believe they was russians). Tank played aggressive but never left me (as healer) behind. One DPS (not russian) was pulling and acted as he shouldn’t, he was kicked.
I agree that the communication wasn’t the best but no one was rude and the grp performed well, every role did as expected. When we finished tank said “gg bye”.
Nothing wrong with russian, you find rude ppl everywhere, even here in Sweden…
