Does anybody know/can confirm if you can be eligible to loot a Rank 4 Essence from the cache if you don’t have a Rank 3 essence unlocked first? I’m about to get my first paragon cache and don’t want to open it otherwise since I don’t have my first Rank 3 yet.
Im pretty sure blizzard stated at some point that you need rank 3 before you are eligable for rank 4
No it doesn’t matter if you get rank 4 but you don’t have rank 1 or 3 of that essence.
“Blizzard has announced that you can infuse a Rank 2 or Rank 3 Essence without learning the lower ranks. However, on the PTR, in order to infuse a Rank 4 Essence, you must already learn the Rank 3 version.”

Yeah, I’m aware you can’t use it. Was more worried if you can loot it or not. Though the drop chance seems really low because even people with the Rank 3 essences have reported not getting one yet.
