The event is players/guilds hosted. Blizzard has no hands on it (although they are watching it I’m pretty sure)
If they want to make this their job it’s up to them and they are payed by those whom like these kind of stuff.

They stopped paying attention to that years ago. Kil’Jaeden Mythic waves hello with his knockback.
Not officially no but they do actively endorse and encourage people to watch it because as has been said before, it’s free advertising for them. They even put it on their launcher page so for Blizzard to sit back in faux surprise and say “Whoaaaa!! Nothin to do wiv us!!” is ever so hugely disingenuous.
As for the thread.
No one is forcing people to watch it. if some people want to bust a gut to beat a raid boss on the hardest difficulty good luck to them. I’ll look at it with the same “meh” I did when my favourite games release and certain types of players rush to outdo each other.

When do we baseline ‘mythic’ for nerfs in the first weeks?
I remember when a certain heroic boss that got nerfed quite fast was harder then theyr mythic equilevant according to many.

The content they do is designed to be hard on purpose for those in our community that want hard content. I for one don’t have time or temperament To be a mythic raider.
But it’s fun to watch and usually it boils down to Europe Vs USA and the vibes it gives off is great.
The raid has been designed for casual players to. Normal is a very fair but rewarding experience if you ask me. I’ve not tried heroic yet but my mates say it’s good. I really don’t think blizzard missed with this tier.
The world first race isn’t a waste of time for them either as they don’t even produce or run the streams.

same, I guess Legacy raids are pretty far down their radar. But that may change with the incoming transmog changes, I think they will get a lot of uncomfortable backlash from players chasing mogs from legacy raids and running into brick walls because they couldn’t be bothered to nerf old mechanics which shouldn’t be there now.
