RWF represents some of what is wrong with wow

so it doesnt revolve alone on the RWF, and also ITS NOT AN OFFICIAL EVENT.

The point is the entire playerbase having to wait for this farce to be over. If it doesn’t matter like you’re saying why is everyone forced to wait?

WoW isn’t and shouldn’t be just about “whos the best” - and judging from the viewcount not that many people care either

Since blizzard focus most of their endcontent (max lvl) around M+, PvP and Raid which are all kind of competitive, this is false.

And whatelse should be wow about?
The story and storytelling is trash
The cosmetics are mostly reused and recoloured
→ you cant even dye so a lot of items cant be used together without looking like a clown
RP-community is rather small and the limitations of the game doesnt help
Petbattles?`Naaaaaaah, Pokemon is way better.

Face it: This game is about M+, Raids and somewhat PvP… PvP and M+ are highly competitive and even Raids people at a certain lvl compare eachother. Its just human nature to want to be better than others.

I think part of that stems from the issue that WoW isn’t really a spectator’s game, there’s too much going on “Under the hood” (Cooldown management and such) that’s neither clear nor visually interesting.

It’s much more clear with, say, FPS games, where the action is quite obvious (And more visual, overall), but i can’t imagine watching somebody else play a MMORPG is so interesting…

Have on mind that max ilvl is 490 for this season, and they stepped on mythic with 455 ish

I agree with some of this tbh more and more. Such a small % of players care about mythic raiding, yet Blizzard is willing to make the game worse for everyone else in favor of it. Mythic raiding is just boring. I hate wiping over and over on a boss. The fact they made heroic raiding like this, where I wipe on smolderon every time someone doesn’t know a mechanic, makes me consider to quit raiding altogether. I am tired of having my time wasted like this. I don’t wanna play something, where I lose 5 minutes every time someone doesn’t know something. I’m aware some people here have pride in having their time wasted, and wear it as a badge of honor, but I’m sick and tired of it personally.

Look how few viewers the race to world first has: Almost nobody cares about it, especially when it’s so long. Watching it is tiring and annoying. There is no excitement in seeing echo bring it down a few % more every few hours. This is not a race. This is a slogfest. It’s more exciting for me to watch paint dry than seeing them progress a few % every couple of hours. Whole race and the whole game would be better, if rwf took 3 days maximum.

Having seen some other pvp games out there that do have it as an esport, often with huge prizes attached. I often wondered why WoW was never in the same arena with PvP and only Mythic raiding.

Both Echo and liquid have 480+ average ilvl atm.

Not even 1%. That is extremely generous. These are about 50-100 players out of 1-2 million players. It’s 0.0001% at best.

only way i’d watch RWF is if they was doing it minimum ilvl and no addons …

atm… how much they had when they entered mythic ?

They didn’t start mythic until day 3, they were already 470+ and they 1 shot the first 5? Bosses.

You are talking about people, who organize raids weeks ahead, where they pay gold to people for passing on all loot and funneling their raid members with all the drops.

Despite that they’re an average of 3 ilvls above whats possible as a regular raider right now. Not 10, 5, 3.

no they didn’t you can check their first mythic kill they had around 460-470 ilvl

Echo had 468.6 and Limit had 473,

So no, they did not have around 455.

I think they were sandbagging items / trying to game loot after seeing the day before what the tuning of the mythic bosses were from Liquid so they could have been even higher too.

Here is my take on the subject:

After having raided since 2005. Both hard core, soft core, and “medium core”… I can say that the BEST change blizz has ever made to the raiding scene is Flex Heroic.

Which mind you, is the content MOST people do.

Problem is that once you clear Heroic your stuck. There is nothing else to do.

And it has nothing to do with skill. There are a lot of skillful players out there, and so far in DF the first bosses in Mythic were actually easier than the last 3 of heroic. Even ilvl drop reflect that fact.

NO. The reason people dont do mythic is not because of RTWF shenanigans, its because in order to balance raids FOR RTWF and Mythic raiders in general, they need to FIX players to 20.

And the logistics/commitment of maintaining a roster of exactly 20 people is what kills guilds and many players.

Therefore: What needs to happen is to add M+ levels with infinite scaling. First to Heroic.

And if this M+ style of levels works for heroic, implement that to mythic. And make Mythic flex as well, but a bit more restricted for balancing purposes. Like between 18 and 22 or something like that.

And then, it wont be a “RACE to world first” but a “Marathon to world first”. Which IMO is not only fun to watch, but better and more engaging to the vast community of people.

I dont disagree, there were probably some shenanigans happening, it was just to show their ilvel was far in excess of the 455 claimed.

finally got my elite pvp set mog,
2 weeks into the season, time to unsub
