R/worldofpvp has extreme censorship, don't use it

you really dont need tell me things this obvious

you want to make guide of how to post link you can make post for it but you dont need quote me to explain things that i and any person with iq already knows

im well aware of how to link on forum and going around the restrictions to include link on post with no trust level

Freedom of speech (ideally) protects you from persecution regardless of what you said, it doesn’t alleviate you from the responsibility of what you said.

So while you can say what you to me, I am free to retort in the same fashion and challange your statement. While you have freedom of speech, I also have that same freedom, as you cited correctly here.

Having a “different” political opinion is often a code for “racist ideology”. I’m not trying to insinuate thats the case here, but there is a massive distinction to be made if I let someone go because they are being derogatory towards various ethnicities, harass an employee that happens to be trans or if they vote party X.

feel like this thread already contains way too many posts explaining something as simple as private own property rights and goverments laws restrictions

there is private rights set in the limits of goverments set laws and they dictate what one can say or do on their owned property

if there still are people urinating on walls of mall and stateing “its free country i can do what ever i want” when someone goes remove the person by the back of his neck like i used to do for living as one career

then these people need some reality check or maybe something between ears to fill the empty space

and for the record, i hate 90% of people but i dont go around saying it on public because it wouldnt be smart

i just hate stupid people, and stupidity is what i mostly see among this vile species but if i go state my opinion on private own property they have the right to remove me from the premises for causing disturbance

want the right to say and do whatever please then go buy island from some country that needs the money and is willing to let you declare it as your own country, then you can try behave and do as you please till some people come and intervene even there and propably drown you to the sea from hair if you did something they didnt like :joy:

the only true rights you have in this world is toward what you own and what you can protect as your own, and if we think of the matter there is no right or wrong just chaos and you need to adapt to survive on it

a person can feel safe to some degree in protection of set societys restrictions but then there also comes the times on a remote areas or too growded bar where it is not good idea to run your mouth to someone twice your size as you get hurt and there is nothing any law or society can do about it so effectively all that was needed is for person to have common sense to survive and not act the opposite by saying “i have right to say what i want” and get teeths knocked in

Indeed! But the question is if the government should take larger actions towards people not being silenced for feeling threatened? I think in some of the articles I linked above they explain how they take this into account when they calculate “Freedom index” etcetera.

Absolutely! I wouldn’t say that freedom of speech always has a positive impact but I think too many people take it for granted sadly.

For sure! I don’t think people yelling racist things would bring something good to the discussion anyways. My point I was trying to make is that far too many people seem to think that violence is a reasonable way to react to someone being racist (which imo it isn’t). I think that will just cause more problems.

Haha yeah I understand why you think that but that wasn’t the idea I had in mind. I think that it is rather awful when we come to a place where the “correct way to vote is X”. In America for example, given you work in a normal workplace. What do you think the implications are if you say that you are a republican? Is it GOOD to consider yourself a republican? Maybe you vote right or left because you want lower / higher taxes. Does that define you as a person?

All in all I think more people should focus on communicating and discussion rather than this hateful back and fourth.

That being said I really appreciate the input both of you provided!

Of course, 100% sharing your point of view on that. Someone saying words should be responded to with words, not fists.

What I won’t stand for is when people use horrible, inhumane rethoric to go after a group of people (often a minority), trying to stoke hate and try to hide from critisism behind “freedom of speech”. Nah, they can spout their points all they want, but that doesn’t protect said people from having their points VERBALLY and publically eviscerated. Everyone’s ideas are open to being challanged, and so are theirs.

I think America is often something like a “bad omen” for other countries. In my eyes having only 2 realistic choices on the ballot to begin with is really foreign.

I don’t believe voting a certain way instantly puts you in a “good” or “bad” person bracket, but I think there is something to be deduced about a person that is willing to vote for a party that promises a tax cut, but also stands for taking away rights from another group of people, given that said person is aware of the consequences of their vote.

They’re making that “trade” deliberately, someone elses freedom for their own benefit.

That being said, I believe a huge portion of voters is not aware of what I just said, and simply vote for what sounds beneficial for them. That makes freedom of speech all the more important so you can get that point across, not necessarily change their opinion but atleast make them aware of what that vote does.

Propably went do same in reddit he does to wow forums, they could ban vinzora from wow forum too for constantly opening threads advocating for tanks in place of heals for arenas which he well knows no one wants

Its either advocating tanks or express his hate on healers which both topics he well knows by now to cause feud and unrest

He is like the idiot who goes into barbecue event stateing “im vegan” and then gets offended for people telling him to go home

Sorry I forgot to respond!

Exactly! Or to a certain point of course. If people come throwing fists at me idk if words will stop them  But in general people should strive for discussion over fighting!

Yeah these things I find odd and it is obvious that many people use that rhetoric because they want to say the N-word etc  My point is more about the fact that if you are unable to question a religion because that is “racist”, should we just accept horrible things that come with religion?

Absolutely! I think the problem is that EVERY party / ideology has problems. So me saying “lol you vote for X they do so many bad things you are an idiot” doesn’t do anything and I would be the idiot.

But I really get your point I just wish people would think beyond their nose sometimes (not regarding obvious racists statemts) but I think you know what I mean.
