shouldnt rating be required for weapon and shoulders only?

Rating requirement shouldn’t have been there at all, not even for shoulders/weapon in the first place.

And before anyone jumps in and says “But then casuals will get easy epic loot!” please rethink it
 For a casual to get weapon he/she would still have to play close to two months to gather 3.1k+ arena points while for mid-top rated teams it won’t take more than 3-4 weeks.

They boosted arena points tho so its not hard to get 500 points per week. Sure, still 6 weeks to get 3k points but not 2 months. Still, 3k only gets you two pieces. I personally think it’s a good thing to have some rating requirements, like shoulders and weapons, but I don’t understand why they would add it to nearly every piece.

I don’t remember how it was back then
 I think all seasons were the same, just shoulders and weapons required rating to be bought.
Looks like a bug to me, they will not add ratings for all gear if there wasnt back then too.

“When Season 2 launches, we expect to use those same rating requirements for the Season 2 gear, while removing all requirements from the season 1 gear at that time.”

Notice the word ‘expect’ so nothing is set in stone. Wouldn’t be surprised if they suddenly decided to put rating on every item again like they originally planned before, being the peabrained individuals they are.

Sorry but kicking in arguments with wow token and relating it to the rating requirements is beyond conspiracy, its already fanatism.

iam not saying the requirement makes no sense to me, but relating it to maybe-gold tokens is beyond stupid.

In the burning crusade beta, the vendor had weapons from S1 sold for only BG marks so 
 this is most likely just a bug as that’s the same vendor.

A bit too late for that boost wouldn’t you say? :slight_smile: In S2 it will be different tho, I agree but then again rating requirement was not a thing neither in S2 in TBC. :slight_smile:

They should have not changed arena rating system at all, it should have been replicated from TBC. If they had to make any changes then it should have been replica of retail, literally with everything (teams as well), but no, instead they made it half baked product that does not resemble neither TBC or retail.

This guy works hands down on the privateserver. Lets report him so he cannot crawl back when the classic servers gets bigger.

If this is true, then there’s no real reason to even play arena unless you can even reach that rating.
It’ll literally take months to get the gear anyway(Unless you’re doing 5v5s I guess?), so adding a very high rating requirement is just going to kill off the casual arena teams altogether.

So this change would only affect the majority and not affect the top few %.
It benefits nobody lol.
