Imagine you could PvP in BG’s and get PvP gear for it. Wow, crazy. I think the point is that if you can trade T6 tokens for S3 gear, why not allow the S3 gear to be purchaseable with honor too. It’ll only increase arena participation and reduce gatekeeping. Also, it’ll make T6 tokens less competitive/toxic to get for PvE’rs.

But there is no reason to give away all pvp gear for free. It is already rtarded that you can get s3 with t6 tokens. Can pvpers also purchase t6 with arena points? No.
If I used your logic and make all vengeful gear obtainable for honor, then they can at the same time also make all black temple loot obtainable with badges. Same logic.

I mean if you can trade T6 tokens for S3 gear why not make it farmable with honor as well. It would motivate people to do BG’s to get that gear and get into arena. Not sure why you’re so keen on gatekeeping, it’s kind of cringe. Arena participation is at an all-time low as it is anyways.
You have to clear Hyjal/BT to get a T6 token and contest with other players for that token, it’s not a welfare system. A character in full greens that hit level70 today can AFK in a BG and collect honor so it’s not remotely comparable. Also, if you could get S3 weapons from honor that’d mean BG’s provide better weapons for many specs than Black Temple.
Now you can argue that Sunwell vendor badge items provide something similar, but with BG’s already offering S2 gear for honor (which is also really really good) I don’t think it’s a big issue here.
If you afk in BG’s you get banned. The more kills you get and the better you play, the more honor you’ll earn. It’s not “welfare”. You’re trading your time that you could spend doing other things to farm that gear out. Not all that different from signing for a random T6 raid and buying the tokens there. It’d just be an alternative. Not sure why some people think it’s a bad thing.

It’s a bad thing because you’re comparing an organised raid with performance requirements and social organisation with a solo queue BG. The honor you earn isn’t based on your personal performance but the team performance, plenty of people join BG’s and make no meaningful effort and get give or take the same honor as everyone else, you can even get most of your honor by standing next to a tower for 10 seconds once a day.
What is exactly wrong with the S2 gear you will be able to get for honor?

Bro it’s like League or any team game for that matter, the better you perform the more game you’ll win. Just because you carry some scrubs one game doesn’t mean those scrubs will win there next one.How is this even an argument
It’s an arguement because you’re saying you should get elite PvP gear for casual PvP content based on the fact that you can trade in the comparable elite raiding gear for elite pvp gear?
Exactly what is wrong with S2 gear? PvP is already amazing for gearing up new characters quickly even with the S1 gear available, and soon you can do that with S2. I don’t get the complaint, with your changes you’d just grind out BG’s to get Vengeful weapons which are currently the best weapons in the game for a bunch of specs, better than the raid drops aside from specifically Illidan/Archi drops.
