Hey,
i’ve been trying to get the quest “Sabotage!” done in Southern Barrens for quite some time now. It’s a quest where you have to arm a bomb and you should get a 10 min debuff to get out of the buildin before it explodes. When i arm the bomb, i do get credit for arming it, but i do not get the debuff to get out of the building so i cannot complete this quest. Has anyone experienced the same issue? Is there a way to solve it?

There are a few comments on Wowhead finding problems with this quest.
In Cataclysm, when the devs remade the quests there, they got kinda fancy with special effects and triggers, and it didn’t work out so well. Mostly, the quests work. Mostly.
The Alliance quest They Took Our Gnomes, made as part of the same set, is infamous, and I have seen reports of, and experienced, other fails.

I have known other quests in that area to clear up after a weekly reset (Wednesday morning). Apparently the server can get stuck on something after someone completes the quest, and then some trigger event necessary for the quest can’t happen until the server is restarted.
So: move on and try again Wednesday is one solution.
Or you can just move on and don’t worry about it, since you don’t actually need it for anything. Unsatisfying, but practical.
Or you can make a Support Ticket. A GM will likely just mark it completed for you, since they can’t interfere with the server at all. but your wait times may be very long, since this is the first week of a new expansion and bugs and glitches are everywhere, and I imagine all types of support personnel are way overloaded. Also unsatisfying.
Personally, I’d move on, not worry too much, and check again after weekly reset.
Same thing on my end, i will probably create a ticket if it wont work in a week.
Its also part of achievement “The Loremaster” so it can be very frustrating if hundreds of hours are spent on completing all the quests across every area and cant get it because of one. Hopefully GMs wont disregard it…

Still have same issue. Quest is not fixed yet.
Currently, the error still persists. I did all the achievements but I can’t get the Loremaster achievement because of this bug, which is very sad. I requested support help but still no result.

Same here nothing is happening after bomb sabotaged, reported in game got replay that they don’t deal with this.
Tried again today, no luck.
I came here looking for an answer as I’m stuck on the same quest for Loremaster. I hope somehow this could be fixed.

This quest found to be bugged since 2004 on some posts, they don’tknow to fix it or I don’t know what… and why they don’t do it auto-complete after all if they won’t fix it or doesn’t work since a long time ? Special being a part of the Loremaster, this is the only quest which i miss from Loremaster and it is the last quest also… and the only one remained. Thanks Blizzard.
