But yes, adding different colour options would be a good middleground.
Sadly, adding recolors would only fuel the inconsistency train. They didn’t recolor T3 or the returning AotC mount or the Deathless set.

Easy fix , remove it from everyone who didn’t do it 1-2 month after release
I’m starting to think that blizzard is just hiding the “Mage Tower Release” “Free trading post Corrupted Ashbringer” “Slap the gong timewalking Qiraji Mount” “MoP Challenge Mode re-release” and “WoD Challenge Weapons” buttons in case of an emergency. Like their subs drop too much > click it > subs go back up by millions. So what’s the solution? WE FORCE THEM TO USE THOSE BY UNSUBBING…

That’s be a terrible idea. would be far more fair if to obtain something you had to do a challenge similar to it. Want and old keystone master mount? reach 2000 on a current season and obtain a saddle to buy 1 of the old ones. want one èlitè set? get 1800 rating on that class and recieve an ensemble token to get a former èlitè one. Want mage tower? Complete it as it is now and recieve the weapon associated to that spec. want a former AOTC? get one of a current end boss and get the chance to buy one of the items for the old AOTC quests to get the mount.
Handouts of these items suck. Allowing us to obtain them via a similar challenge is great.

Bragging rights. Earn it or have something else. Not everything should return or be available.
Should apply that to the AOTC and Chosen Dead transmog set then. Shouldn’t return either, but it does, so see no reason why they cannot bring the rest. The inconsistency is just mind boggling.

If an exception was made for AOTC/chosen dead ensembles and the pandaria cloaks, so it can be made for these forms.

I honestly do believe this too, probably that’s what they did with the Twitch drops for the TCG , to get people hyped up in case Spectral tiger even came back. (But they launched it i the in game shop for the Chinese players instead)
I don’t know what mr.Hazzikostas is doing anymore, or anyone at the HQ. AI has taken over it seems.

I believe the Mage Tower challenge should exist in the game in every expansion and with every patch. It should be updated regularly, remaining the hardest and most engaging challenge (solo) for all players. Each patch could feature rotating transmogs, forms, achievements, and mounts, along with constantly evolving mechanics. It would be an excellent addition to the game if the difficulty were updated twice during a major patch, ensuring it does not become easier as players acquire the best gear available at that time.
That way, it would always be difficult to obtain something, no one would complain about items no longer being available, and it would solve the problem of certain things being unobtainable for players who never played WoW or were just kids at the time. I would include everything from vanilla to today that can still be earned. Want something? Here is a challenge for you. Bam. End of story.
