Gram has now retired to Azure Watch, where he began his adventures almost 20 years ago.
I have clicked Exit Game for presumably the final time. I have enjoyed my time both in game and here on the forums for most of those 20 years. There’s been good times and less good times but always some form of enjoyment to be found somewhere.
I have generally found the forum community to be friendly and I hope I’ve not been rude to anyone who didn’t deserve it. I apologise for any unwarranted levels of abruptness. I shall likely haunt these pages for a short while although I’ll be unfamiliar with much of what is being discussed.
I haven’t been able to do much in game recently but I’ve been working of my Bucket List for some time now and it’s more-or-less complete.
I have every Heritage Armour set.
I have Every Dungeon and Raid mount up until the end of Cata (except Alyrazor’s in Firelands).
I have Awake the Drakes, even if Blazing Drake took years to drop.
I have Going to Need a Bigger Bag.
I did not manage the Insane title, I’m about 6,000 into revered with Ravenholdt and I do have a few hundred lockboxes but I’ve run of the will to get any more and I can’t bring myself to re-sub just to pickpocket several thousand murlocs on Quel’Danas.
The last few weeks I’ve spent clearing out the Quest Logs, Banks and Bags of all my alts and the I’d take them somewhere to retire.
My Goblin Warlock is in Rachett. The very first place I saw in game. I was at a friend’s house and he was looking for an Inn to log out in.
My Orc Warrior (my first character in 2005) is in the Inn in Razor Hill as that was pretty much where he started his adventures, even if the zones have been revamped since.
Other similar locations were found for most of my alts although some of the Allied Races leveled purely for the Heritage armour in recent weeks just retired in their capitals.
There used to be a trend of posting Goodbye threads on here when quitting the game but haven’t seen so many recently. Not sure if this is because the treand died out or players aren’t leaving so much now.
This post is somewhat different to most of those. I don’t have a list of grievances about how the game is terrible now when it was so great before. There are things i dislike about the current game but in general it’s still a fun game. And I wouldn’t want to play the game as it was back then anymore either.
