Is Rogue a safe class for SL ? Peoples says Sub rogues are strong currently but there is a chance they still gets hardly nerfed before going live …
a other altanative is warlock ?
Safe for what?
If you want to get into PuGs easily, a tank or healer is a safe pick.
If you want to play something that performs above-average, a core DPS class is a safe pick.
So it depends. 
i have not played sub sence BC thats why asked 
In general if you want save swaps between roles pick Mage, Hunter or Lock.
Transitioning between two melee can be hard.
A safe class is always one you enjoy.

Rogues, DHs and paladins (just not ret), seem to always work. Paladins are seldom S tier but they are always A tier.
Rogue is going to be very handy for Mythic+.

you’ll find certain classes good at doing certain things, hunters and rogues are usually good at doing those little jobs in a raid/dungn that need to be done but would be a pain for a caster. if there isnt many of those jobs.
Its all relative, each class can have a bad few patches, and if you arent raiding most classes seem to do pretty well at WQ and stuff.

What content? Rogues are always god tier for PvP and M+, purely because the crazy amount of utility they bring. Even if their below average DPS, still a very desired class. Raidings a bit diff, none of there utility is much use. Still very good as soakers though.
I mean look at the toolkit
Garrote - interupt hardcasters
Kick - low cd interupt
Blind - 1 min cd for cc/inter
Cheapshot - lovely stun/inter
Vanish + CS - as above
Kidney - lovely stun/inter
Numb poison - 15% reduced physical AND magic (works with aoe builders)
shroud - amazing for PvP/keys
Cloak+evasion - amazing defensives
Tricks - threats never an issue

probaly raid content and some BGs when not raiding …

pure dps always have good spec for certain activity
all thee classes has at least one great spec for each on beta
Rogue has 3 DPS specs, if one gets nerfed the other is surely to be good though, so you can’t make a mistake if you go rogue.
I personally say go for it. Rogue is super versatile, fast, offers great utility, stealth, great damage and is handy in any content.
Its fine. On Beta that is. Also Maldraxxus bonespikes. On live? No. Wouldnt even dare to call that AoE.
one rison why i dont play rogue is moust guards has stealth ditection and are immune to stuns or any CC abltyes and stealth randomly brakes. Then there is addons as spy what alerts all around that there isa rogue near by attacking something 
Any pure DPS class is safe.
Mage, Lock, Hunter and Rogue.
Main the class not the spec, if you’re wanting safety.
If you’re wanting to main a spec then you’re never safe.
Historically Rogues are always safe. But historically very few specs are “always” good. One of the few that come to mind is BM hunter.

Yup. If you were a sub rogue main after Uldir then you had a pretty bad time.
Sub rogue aoe is capped to 8 targets in SL but outlaw has cap at 5 ?
Different damage per hit yo. And also different AoE mechanic.
