Four weeks in a row I did Time Walking with my recent alter (old main) mage. Four weeks I got the EXACT SAME ITEM on the Time Walking Cache (Chilled Silken Restrains) with different variations (with utility stats, without, with socket, without) but the same item ID.
Sorry but I refuse to believe this is RNG. It cannot be. How a system can be so messed up?

Having no bad-luck protection feels bad… every time. 
I have not done it yet this week, But previously i got same helm twice in a row.

I wish there was a way for the game to recognise this. I opened 4 conquest boxes in a row and got the two handed sword 4 times in a row when I already had the bis polearm for my class.
It’s pretty sad to think the 6 weeks of TW was meant to be an event that got players excited to gear up their alts. Instead its turning rather sour for a lot of us with getting duplicates from the chest.

Out of the 4 weeks I have done it, I had a repeat item once. Maybe that is one too many times, but I guess you can’t really complain too much about getting HC raiding gear for 20 mins work.
Does make you wonder how Blizz really feel about raiding when they are giving supposedly hard content rewards so easily.
Yep, something fishy is going on. I’m doing the event on 9 characters per week (mainly farming the Infinite Timereaver), and the number of duplicates is absolutely crazy.
I know it’s RNG, but I have a feeling, certain items are way more likely to appear in the cache. I’m mainly talking about trinkets > necks > rings > weapons > other pieces of gear.
I didn’t write things down and I’m gonna give this from the top of my head now - 4th week is up, I did it on 6 toons yesterday (3 missing), and I did it for the first three weeks, meaning 3*9 + 6 = 33. Out of the 33 caches, I received:

I was going to suggest you make an ingame suggestion that something is added to make it impossible to get the same item maybe more than 2 weeks in a row. But it’s probably a bit late for that for TW
Not even twice in a row, tbh. Not from a single-choice thing like the TW weekly. The player was given this item once. They do not need it from this source again.
But then, I also think the vault should be blocked from offering you something you have equipped (unless you dual wield and only have one), AND should always target your lowest item slot with the first thing it offers.
Sadly Blizzard do not like the concept of satisfying players with reasonable gearing

Though I only got the terros neck 2 times, and the Dathea one once.
I did not do the weekly yet with my monk,so who knows, maybe third Terros neck or second Dathea neck.
I could use Puny’s Grieftorch RNG though. I still only have the normal version.
This would be the solution to the duplicates you do not need, but most likely will be buggy between ilvls.
