Sanctum Reservoir - which to deposit?

(oops I accidentally removed my previous post)

Hi,

I recently hit max. level in Shadowlands and now apparently I need to deposit anima in a Sanctum Reservoir and I have a question about that: there are four circles in my Sanctum Reservoir, is there any preferred (or optimal path) circle I should deposit my anima in first? I don’t know of it’s relevant but I don’t raid or anything, I just want to finish the campaign. I pledged to the Night Fae covenant.

Thanks in advance

If you need offerings quickly it’s probably best to activate the anima conductor first.

But if not I’d go with the transport network, it’s really handy and you get offerings from callings now too.

Ok thanks I will go Transport Network.

I would go for portal network first for the convenience of moving around in Ardenweald, and then opt for mission table next.

Portal Network>Mission Table>Anime Conductor>Queen’s conservatory.

Upgrade each of them evenly, because having all on rank 1 increases the anima you get from WQs and mission table missions by 1 extra item. Rank 2 increases all anima item rewards by 2, and rank 3 increases the rewards by 3.

Do not use the queen’s conservatory at all until you reach rank 5, but keep in mind that the spirits you will have to use in them you can get from both world content, and by a weekly where you need to collect 1K anima (goes well with the anima collection weekly quest.)

I mean, it all boils down to what you want and need. All these 4 buildings, provide NOTHING but a cosmetics increase, meaning mounts, pets, transmog and in your Night Fae case, soulshapes. All 4 are equal in my eyes, the only ‘more important’ one being the travel network, which has a portal to Oribos, that is very handy. Once you get used to that, it’s quite nice.

Other than that, I would go in this order:

  • Travel network > Tier 3 grants you a portal to Oribos, and you get a access to a funny faction called the Marasmius. The rewards are just weapons, 2 mounts, pets and soulspahes. You have to do dailies though. Since I care for mounts only, I just did it till revered. Didn’t touch it since.
  • Mission table > Mission table gives you 4 mounts. Other than that, it is utterly useless. You can make some gold with it (augment runes are common) and you can get some soul ash / cinders, but this is very minimal.
. Queen’s conservatory > This is a ‘mini game’ for NF, and it’s the most boring one since it’s passive. You just get seeds, and then wait most of the time so they grow. Nothing special. You can get 2 specific covenant mounts, and 4 shared covenant mounts this way along with other cosmetic rewards.
  • Anima conductor > very underwhelming feature, not really worth doing. Especially the NF one is really tedious to do. Mostly used to get grateful offerings (another useless currency) and for cosmetic armor, that is nothing more than a recolorued campaign set).

Depending on how often you check on it the mission table can give you between 2 up to 8 gold missions (usually there are atleast 5 up on average across the entire day) which is around 1.5K-2K gold, about as much as a calling is worth, for minimal effort put into it. The only drawback is that you have to level your followers, but that isn’t an issue if you have alts to help funnel leveling items.

The only reason to do the queen’s conservatory, beside mounts, is that you get a free (lower tier) feast and a flask out of it every 3 days. Other than that yes, it is pretty underwhelming.

The conductor also allows you to get a toy, atleast on night fae side. Not sure what else, but having it leveled means that you get more grateful offerings from calling chests.

I also find the mission table useful to do the 1K anima weekly. Helps skip on doing world quests for anima, and allows you to more freely select which WQs you want to do for callings.

My personal opinion is that Travel Network and Mission table should have priority. because those give tangible rewards. Everything else is just additional convenience, or provides access to additional transmog.
