I have asked this months ago, but I need to ask once again: Are there any upcoming realm connections planned for Retail? You’ve been spoiling rotten the WoW Classic player community with free migrations, while ignoring the same blatant problems on Retail. While I understand its good for business and you make a lot of money from realm transfers, on the long run you’re shattering communities and making the game harder for peeps that have been around for a long time, making them question if they should continue keeping their subs up anymore.
I’m on the dying Twilight’sHammer/Aggamagan realm network, if you sort out the realms lists by population, we’re on the bottom below New Player realms.
I’d suggest you help us by connecting us with the 7th realm, be it Stormscale, TarrenMill, Draenor or Kazzak as lifelines.
Anyway I sadly wouldn’t hold my breath for a blizzard response, it’s probably one of the last things on their minds right now. All you can do is keep the topic alive.
Blizz have shown absolutely no interest in realm mergers since the last set some years ago - the ones where they didn’t bother checking the main language of each realm, thus putting people together who can’t communicate. Rather than hire someone to sit for a few days and work it out, they evidently decided to never do it again.
There is no point hanging on for mergers. The best we’ll get is the current bulk transfer rates. That is Blizzard’s solution to the problem. I can imagine a day when some returning players from Cataclysm logs in and is literally alone on their server because everyone else has gone.
