Saw Bellular's video and

that’s why wow does not see any upgrade in its systems in years, people don’t want it to change but you can’t expect this version of the game to attract many new players , everyone i started to play wow quit after reaching last level and they love &play other mmos, there’s a reason for that

If they are so all-knowing there’ll be no failed sales in industry

Damn you sure are know how to simplify things, if community already divided on the matter of classic and retail version imagine what kind of division would be enacted with release of WoW2, EverQuest couldn’t transfer it’ss small community to second installment, what chances wow has?

We see new mmos every year, they are cashgrab quickburners that lose they playerbase within 2 months since release, literally the only mmos that stood test of time is WoW and FFXIV.

Just because your imagination goes wild every time you think about WoW2 doesn’t mean that this phantasies are valid, MMO genre didn’t progressed much for last 20 years, WoW is still a king in terms of fluid combat, all experiments failed and became pay to win cows.

It’s not how it works, as long as your franchise has functioning installment that has consistent playerbase it will not die, but if you’ll start to gamble by making for it sequel and in process abandon your previous successful and reliable project you may as well kill the whole franchise

If anything to bring new players wow needs to rework leveling experience, I have friends who’d like to join but they think that leveling is boring

it’s called taking risks

you can’t be comparing blizzard to whatever company that’s making everquest… they can put stuff that’s gonna attract classic players, retail players and players who choose to play other games.

ESO, GW2, WoW, FF14, Lost Ark(counts as an mmo), BDO and even new world, all have stable playerbases
BIG mmos are coming soon, ashes of creation, archeage2, LOTRO from Amazon, Dune etc.

this shows you only played ff14 other than wow lol almost all new mmos especially asian mmos have better and more fluid combat than wow, BDO is the standart now

that’s literally how warhammer died , because of keep catering to same audience for years and that’s why wow’s decline keeps conituing . if you don’t try to bring in new players, you’ll die , that’s how mmos work. this game is on constant decline because players usually quit playing because they’re bored or natural reasons like getting old , married , work etc. and it fails to bring in new faces to cover the void. legion had a successful attempt but it’s almost been a decade since then

they already did that with cataclysm and it wont happen again.

they’re still using the same textures for 13 years now so it’s likely to happen again, exactly the same reason why it happened in the first place

I dont expect WoW to attract new players in general - because Warcraft is old.

Probably because it aint 20 years old.

then the death of this game is inevitable because it’ll keep losing players , naturally.

So you are ready to take risks, especially with current blizzard? Not much going on in your head I guess.

There is no “stuff that’s going attract classic and retail” exists in this world, basically everything old is good and everything new is bad, every new expac is bad, until it’s old so it’s good.

Check player counts, it’s a joke

Are you really comparing gw2 playerbase to wow’s and ffxiv’s?

Dead p2w

Dead p2w

Just Dead, and next amazon MMO will be dead too I’m sure

They all will be dead, the only chances I think will have blue protocol, and somehow you didn’t mention it.

bdo is dead p2w, trashcan, Asian mmos lifecycle usually is very short.

Who is this Warhammer guy and why is he dead? Age of Reckoning died because of the underwhelming PVE, Fantasy Battles died because GW didn’t want to soft reboot wargame and simply scrapped it by replacing it with Warhammer 40k: fantasy version.
I see talk about wow “dying” since MoP, it’s been 10 years since, can we stop pretending that we are old people with dementia?

Correct.

En masse? No. Enough to have spikes in playerbase? Yes. There are subreddit “Wownoob” out there, plenty of new people with noob questions, update how game presents yourself from the start and there’ll be more new players

Sure, but most kids are probably not into a ‘‘gramps’’ game.

Well I was a 14 years old kid when I joined wow in legion time

I mean, there will always be outliers, ofc. I’m not saying that no kid ever will be interested in Warcraft. But it’s not a new and exciting thing.

Of course, but MMO is not an exciting genre for kids in general. It’s not a battle royale or tactical PvP fps

True, I’m enjoying Single-player games more than WoW now, and while I’ve tried GW2, I just dont care enough to continue. I guess MMO’s are getting more and more boring to me.

I HOPE it is, but I don’t expect it to be.

It’s not even that kids won’t join wow on more frequent basis is the problem of “graphics”, Nintendo games are still exist and despite of never been known for modern visuals they still have a LARGE audience and very successful sales.

A complete Dragonflight re-scaled Azeroth would be insane, but I don’t think it’s realistic when they can’t even finish the Overwatch 2 PvE mode.

They can’t finish it because I think all their workers are busy with wow, d4, and survival MMO
