Yet to experience this. and I’ve leveled 3 chars to 50 so far through doing just dungeons and a few WoD zones. The scaling is wonky, yes, but it’s expected. Plus I don’t remember anyone complaining about how Disc Priests have been able to be top damage as a healer for the majority of the leveling process since forever.
Leveling scaling will never be perfect, but there’s some things you just have to live with, and unless you’re wiping/dying, you shouldn’t be looking at a DPS meter in a leveling dungeon.
Why would you wait for hours? Leveling is revamped there’s a lot of people interested in leveling and doing dungeons. Just group people together in a range of 5 levels or something.
Well considering in my previous point that NO ONE can agree on how they want the game to actually be played, you’ll have to accept this current iteration.
You all want something completely different from each other and keep screaming about it.
So not sure what you want or expect blizzard to do?
I don’t disagree. The new leveling is great in my opinion. But that shouldn’t mean that we should look away from flaws that exist.
Nothing will turn out perfect right away. The leveling right now is good, but I think it can still be improved in some aspects. But t hings don’t improve if you just ignore flaws and pretend you they don’t exist.
You should stop seeing other players as one person. Just because someone complained about x doesn’t mean everyone complains about x.
No one is screaming here. Just pointing out things that aren’t perfect yet.
This isnt the case? Ok so i guess people aren’t complaining that dungeons are too slow, leveling is too fast, leveling is too slow, damage is too high, damage is too low…
I’m seeing this constant trend of everyone contradicting each other over different threads.
So you tell me who is right? Because no one seems to align on anything.
Oh. and what if they cant balance the numbers? What if they cant balance low level dungeons and everything else? What then?
Then you’ll be sorely upset. If you’ve been playing the game for a while, you’d know that there’s no such thing as “perfect balancing”. The most enjoyable times of WoW for me was not when it was “perfectly balanced” but more it “felt fun”. Right now, it feels fun to level.
But people will still come to the forums to nitpick. Even the person complaining agreed that leveling right now has never been more enjoyable. We don’t live in a perfect world, deal with it
Thing is, when you muddy the waters for a company, how the hell can they see when something is well received or not, when all they’re faced with is constantly negative feedback.
I expect blizzard to have more ways to tell if something is well received than just forum feedback.
I also expect them to be able to keep in mind that people are more likely to complain about things that are not great than pointing otu thigns that are good.
I think it’s much more “muddying” the water if we pretend everything is perfect, which it isn’t, just because we generally like the changes.
The leveling is good and quite fun right now, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be improved to be even better.
Which they do, they have an entire database to see things like this, and the numbers etc. It’ll get somewhat tuned regardless of the venting about it on the forums.
right, you can summarise most of this to: blizzard, balance stuff. most of the whole too high/too low damage complaints are based on poor scaling and should be fixed.
sure, for some people it will always be too slow/fast, but this isnt the point. you will always find extremes so cherrypicking those will set you up for failure.
noone is asking for everyone to be top dps for example or to reach perfect balance. but the damage should be at least somewhat around the same level.
saying “oh this just gives new players a boost and you shouldnt complain because it will balance out at level 50” is like saying, if it was the other way round and low players didnt deal sufficient damage and high players only are, “oh why does it matter, it will even out at level 50 so they shouldnt complain”.
then they are highly incompetent and i would question everything they do in the future and maybe move on to greener pastures if they keep on like this? just my personal opinion though. because building up on a bad baseline without fixing it is a horrible idea.
bottom line is, people can complain about whatever they like. its their opinion after all and they re entitled to it. so its logical you will see different opinions, we are no hivemind which makes all thinks the same.
however, huge disparities shouldnt be just glossed over and overlooked just because its convenient or doesnt matter for some.
leveling through dungeons matters just as much as leveling through any other means.
It’s incredible how you’re like “No, you’re complaining” and all we want is just an improvement and for it to be better. How can you be so stubborn? I’m looking at you Flower and Dtp.
I have never seen so much problems with WoW as it has now since 2004.
@Flower: Are we hurting Blizzards feelings by giving “negative” feedback? We love this game and we only want it to be better.
The scaling is bad. It’s an RPG. Higher level should mean stronger.
Why not put people together in dungeons in a range of 5 levels apart? Or 3? Queue times will be better because it isn’t 1-120 anymore. It’s 1-50 and will be 1-60. Leveling is revamped and it’s more fun to level now when you have more choice where you want to level. It will create more people that want to level and do dungeons.
When was the last time you saw Blizzard launch a new feature for players, and then a player will post a forum feedback that complements blizzard, but explains how to improve it?
Look at the opening post of this threat. The player isn’t saying well done blizzard but please could you improve x, y or z?
This is the underlying problem with this community. It’s harsh, negative feedback and until that changes i doubt Blizzard will take players seriously like you want them to.
Then you have memory loss. No offence. I had this discussion before, if you want me to start linking forums posts and videos of previous expansions and how “unbalanced” it was I will. But please stop using this statement, in 2020 I don’t think anything will be as bad as in the past pre-patches or patches in general.
