Is there any hub where people who roleplay as the Scarlet Crusade are located at? If not, Is it a good idea to be in Stormwind as one? I would love to roleplay as one but am afraid I’ll get made fun of or am not gonna be lore friendly.

In case this was a genuine question… there’s no Scarlet hub that I know of and PLEASE don’t attempt roleplaying one in Stormwind.

What about the fact they’re kinda hostile to the Alliance? It’s a bit like you RP’d an Orc here. Not to mention the crappy (but still justified after all the unpleasant stuff that happened with Scarlet RPers in the past) reputation Scarlet concepts have on Argent Dawn.

I believe their is a Scarlet Crusade guild that is, pretty much, anti-both faction and will kill, burn and hang folk on site.

Can’t remember what it’s called exactly, but it’s “something something Dathrohan.”

Their isn’t a hub per-say. Scarlet RP is more found within the guild environment.
Now if folk were interested in setting up an RP hub for Scarlet meetings, then Havenshire or New Avalan Harbor might be ideal.

Hilt of Dathrohan has alas disbanded two weeks ago.
Was part of them and got murdered by my comrades while others deserted and some other dissolved into the Alliance…
No Scarlet scene left atm…

Probably. Thoug most likely it’s a guild that nobody knows of.

Absolutely not. Stormwind is filled with races of different beliefs and heritage. Scarlets aren’t very fond of the void. We have currently void elves running around.

It would be one of the worst places for a scarlet to run around in. Even in disguise.

Tell me how exactly roleplaying a scarlet member would benefit you in your roleplay with others?

According to the Wiki

The [Scarlet Onslaught] in [New Hearthglen] appeared to be still alive and well after the death of their leaders, executing heretics and betrayers. A few former crusaders along with their apostate champion [Mariella the Heretic] later joined the ranks of the [Conclave]. Several [Crimson Pilgrims] also appeared in [Dalaran].

So they are still up, somehow. If you wanna be lore correct just read their lore up on the wiki.

Though the general approach to rp one would be: roleplay only in a guild far from any settlements of the Alliance and Horde and avoid walking into any settlement. If anyone discovers that you are one you will get killed on sight.

I can understand when people want to roleplay demons because they show some potential. But scarlets where you can ONLY roleplay in your own guild and nothing apart from that unless you want your character to instantly get rekt? I dunno. Seems pointless.

On one hand, Scarlet RP could be:

Very cool
nuanced
a moral conflict
a loveable baddy
a hateable goody

on the hand of reality though, scarlets are just evil and hated to the core universally and that’s a good way to make something that could truly be morally grey simply boring.

Anyway, scarlet RP in Stormwind fits in because no one else in Stormwind cares about the lore anyway

You could also RP a Scarlet infiltrator, like I was originally going to do with a Rogue, as a spy for the order on the Alliance.

I imagined being just a spy would be a interesting job, trying to bullpoop and pay lipservice, maybe stay to the Crimson Path or be swayed if someone found a way to convince otherwise. These days the Scarlet survivors lay low.

I also had the idea of making someone who decided to form a paladin order but was lazy so casually borrowed the Scarlet markings, call it the Knights of the Eternal Flame, totally bastardising the Scarlet’s iconography.

The thing that attracts with Scarlet for me is honestly, partly the color scheme, and their cultist atmosphere, also it can be fun to rp a zealot. But you can be a zealous light fanatic without being Scarlet as well. Today if you want to have connection to Scarlet you’re probably not braging about it and have already joined the Alliance or are away from the faction wars, or you will have to find a Scarlet guild and keep to yourself.
