the item in question is this one: Scrawled Word of Recall
I tried to macro it with renewing mist, but the spell triggers a global cooldown so you can’t simply pop the trinket afterwards. OK, but here’s the problem. if this trinket is on cooldown, it completely halts the macro (unlike other trinkets).
basically I can’t figure out an elegant way of binding it without spamming some weird castsequence macro or putting it on a separate keybind.

after some testing, it seems other trinkets have no trouble being triggered by a macro like
/cast Renewing Mist
/use 14
the trinkets activate despite RM triggering a GCD. the ONLY trinket that can’t activate directly after RM is the one that reduces the CD of RM 
this is hilarious
PS: the macro I thought was working actually wasn’t triggering the trinket most of the time. so long story short, if you want to use this trinket you’ll have to put it on a separate button.
