Hi,
I am not able to complete the quest as per the title: there is no way to use the scroll inside the crypt.
Please note that I removed the addons before progressing with it. I’ve also watched several videos about it and I can confirm that I’m in the correct room of the crypt.
I need that for the Eastern Plaguelands Quests achievement.
I’ve also checked the https://www.wowhead.com/quest=27464/argent-call-the-trial-of-the-crypt Wowhead page. Unfortunately the comments do not solve the problem either.
Even this guy, recently enough, pointed out the same issue. He apparently solved it through a bug, which after a certain time let the mobs spawning even if he did not use the scroll: https://www.reddit.com/r/wow/comments/14zh0mp/argent_call_the_trial_of_the_crypt_bug/.
