Season 2 Tier sets announced

Hunter

Beast Mastery

  • (2) Set Bonus: Cobra Shot and Kill Command damage increased by 15%.
  • (4) Set Bonus: Cobra Shot, Kill Command, and Multi-Shot reduce the cooldown of Bestial Wrath by 1 second.

Marksmanship

  • (2) Set Bonus: Arcane Shot/Chimeara Shot and Multi-Shot deal 10% increased damage and have a 8% chance to grant you the Deathblow effect.
  • (4) Set Bonus: Kill Shot damage increased by 15%, and Kill Shot reduces the cooldown of Rapid Fire and Aimed Shot by 0.5 seconds.

Survival

  • (2) Set Bonus: Wildfire Bomb damage increased by 10% and throwing a Wildfire Bomb increases the damage of your next Kill Command by 50%.
  • (4) Set Bonus: Every 25 Focus you spend reduces the cooldown of Wildfire Bomb by 1 second.

They are really pushing the bomb build for survival, that’s for sure. First, the change that makes Lunge reduce your bomb CD on each auto attack, and now this tier set.

Thoughts?

Not happy about the survival one, yes we needed better aoe. But not like this. Would have been better to give back the cluster bombs.
And I’m also curious how our ST damage will fair without the T1 set bonus going forward.

The BM one doesn’t excite me at all

MM bonuses are awful.

Would be surprised if they are more than 2-3% on st and less than 1% on aoe.

They just decided to kill surv in PVE. Thx for balance blizz

It feels like the BM 4 set is just going to let you keep Bestial Wrath on an insane uptime.

1.5 minutes (90 seconds)
Already reduced by 12 seconds for every barbed shot
And now an additional second for every KC, CS, and MS.

Even though it’s another boring spam KC BS and dump with CS tier set, I’m excited to see just how much uptime we’ll be able to have on BW.

I love how this will keep BR on CD almost all the time but still no cleave damage to replace wild spirits :P.

I don’t understand a) why no aoe is included in the 2 set bonus or b) why the 4 set bonus just doesn’t seem fun

I think the intent is: more bombs, more AOE

2-set is an AoE damage buff in its Kill Command damage increase.

I think the BM 4-set gains a little bit of value in AoE situations where at least that wet noodle Multi-Shot we have to cast every 5 seconds will have the bonus of reducing the cooldown of Bestial Wrath.
But I do feel it’s an underwhelming set, compared to some nice ideas and addition other classes got.
I do miss the 4-set buff from SL season 4 though: 10 seconds of Beast Cleave was sweet.

Pretty sure it was already dead in pve, without the current set it will just die in pvp also.
