Hey,
As the new 10.2 season is coming shortly, I thought it would be helpful to create a quick “planning” guide on how to gear up for 10.2
- You can have 2-set on November 14.
For S3 the catalyst will start with one charge already on day 1 of the season (not day 1 of the patch)
When you reach 1.6K you get the same tier set token we have this season (with the only difference that it doesn’t count to elite, but normal gladiator set appearance).
So this is your top priority: get your 2-set fast, and decide which 2 pieces you want. Prioritize a chest/head/legs armor piece with the free token (as it’s the most expensive) and then buy one more with the conquest from week 1 and convert it in the catalyst.
-
Use your free 870 and 700 conquest crafted pieces smartly. You will get these 2 on day 1, like last season. Also, for the first week you’ll get 2 halves of the essence (and then one half every week as before). So you can craft 1 piece immediately. Consider which 4 pieces of your set you will be using during this season, and for the 5th use the crafted option, ideally with embelishment.
-
Trophies of strife can be collected already on 7 November (before season starts). This means that if you save them up, on the 14th you can have 16 trophies (a weapon costs 14) and you can buy an almost-as-good-as-conquest weapon, only 3 item levels lower.
To recap, here are your available resources on day 1 of the season (14 November)
1350 conquest
16 trophies of strife (8 pre-collected from the first week of the patch)
2 conquest items for crafting (870 and 700 conquest ones)
1 catalyst charge
1 free tier set item from hitting 1.6K
So this is what you could get:
a 386-ilevel PVP weapon from 14 trophies (the conquest one is 389 ilvl)
2-set: one free piece for 1.6K and 1 piece for 700 conquest, turned to tier in the catalyst
1 ring with your best stats (525 conquest)
1 crafted piece of gear (with the 870 or 700 conq token) with the best embellishment for your class
What you would be left with:
125 conquest
2 trophies of strife
1 carfting item for next week
From then on, prioritize picking/buying big pieces from the vault/vendor to get your 4-set, no later than 3rd week of the season.
