Season of Discovery – Ashenvale PvP Changes December 7

The following changes are now live:

  • When a character makes any hostile action against an opposing faction Lieutenant (e.g. Keepers of the Grove, Blademasters) or faction leader in the various objective areas, they will receive reputation when that enemy dies.
    • It must be an offensive action (harmful spell, harmful ability, melee attack, or ranged attack) against an enemy to receive reputation.
      • This also affects Healers who must use an offensive actions against the Lieutenant or faction leader.
  • Characters will receive reputation even if they are dead or no longer nearby as long as they are still in the zone when the enemy dies.
  • Characters will receive 200 reputation for killing a Lieutenant and all members of the winning faction will receive 200 reputation when the faction leader dies.
  • The winning team will also receive 100 reputation per friendly Lieutenant remaining.
    • Example: If there are two Lieutenants alive when the battle is won, a character will gain 200 reputation plus whatever was earned from defeating objectives plus the 200 reputation from killing the enemy faction leader (assuming the character used an offensive action against the faction leader).
  • The Trainee’s Sentinel Nightsaber and Trainee’s Outrider Wolf now require Friendly reputation with the Silverwing Sentinels and Warsong Outriders respectively (was Honored).
  • Players now have 60 minutes to complete the Ashenvale PvP event (was 30 minutes).

Good fix.
Now, if you could also make it NOT bug out for alliance like it just happened (and ppl report it happened the previous time too) it would be awesome. Alliance were ahead having killed 2 lieutenants and defended at least 1. 3rd base goes down but horde counter stays at 1/3 making leader immune, meanwhile horde can casually kill the remaining to get their victory…

You forgot you can’t get rep past revered btw

We are currently getting a major bug.
On Lone Wolf we killed two mini bosses at the same time. This made the count go down to 1/3 instead of 3/3 (Middle was down already).

HQ became immune due to this bug, is there a hotfix on the way?

With this change I don’t have anything major to complain about there anymore.

Maybe one thing of guardian mobs for lieutenants being killed award rep based on tag and they either evaporate in 2 seconds or are “pre-farmed” especially with boss camp, maybe roll their rep into Lieutenant/Boss kill rep instead.

So practically make all the guardsmen mobs around lieutenants/boss give no rep and then make lieutenant/boss kill grant extra 150 rep or so.

Okay so can we get some pvp into this pvp event now somehow?

Is a rep cap at Revered intended or bug ?

They blue-posted it that after revered you are not supposed to get rep from Generals/Lieutenants.

Guess they did not want to have people max out rep freebie from what mostly is a PvE event in reality.

Still get rep from guards, if you play your cards right - easy ~400 rep a run, which is still super solid considering the alternative.

Nice fix…now fix your damn layering because we can’t even complete the f events anymore.

Currently, I was switched 5+ times in 5+ different layers with 5+ different percentages (some finishing the event, some just starting it, others at 50%)…
