A single spell (explosive trap+lonewolf+tnt) kills all other hunter specs in pve and pvp !

The problem is explosive trap !
Why ?
Because lonewolf also increases the trap damage by %35 !
Because explosive trap instant damage is very high and it can also crits !
Plus,
melee damage runes and pet damage runes are in the wrong slots thats why all other pet specs and melee specs dosent viable !
Solution:
1.Make lonewolf only increases all ranged and melee damage by %35.
Remove trap damage from lonewolf.
2:Remove trap launcher from the game make wyvern sting baseline and give survival tree last tier readiness (reset all cd 5 min cd) .
new feet rune : Exhilaration :
Heals you for 30% and your pet for 100% of maximum health. can be usable feared or stuned . 2 min cd
3.Swap cobra slayer rune with beastmastery rune .
Make beastmatery rune increased pet damage by %20 again.
This change will fix other specs.
Petless melee dps
(lonewolf+cobraslayer now usable)
Range dps with pet
(beastmastery+chimera now usable)
Melee dps with pet
(beastmastery+cobraslayer now usable)
4.Make pets immune to aoe in the raids.
5.Remove hit and run rune and give hunters disangage (with run speed and movement impairing effect remove)
and make disangage foward not backward , this will help melee hunters to close gap .
6.Remove the deadzone.
7.give arcane shot a dispel and interrupt effect and remove the min range.
8.Lock and load rune now triggers with serpent sting dots ticks(%10 chance) not with traps.
I’m alright with that , but on the other hand , hunter is far from OP in PvE. A nerf like that would make us bottom tier which is definitively not good.
Only because a talent/ rune combination is 5 or 10% dps behind the top build it does not mean it is not viable.
If this would be the case then 90% of all possible class/spec/rune combos are not viable.
This spec has 21 parses … using this score as an noteworthy example is a bit reckless.
What if I told you that these beast related specs are scoring bad because pets die a lot in mc?
There are already posts about the same problem for warlock demons.
Only way to enjoy pvp in SoD, is to reroll to the new FOTM spec/class at each phase.
You could literally stealth nerf rogue/hunter dmg by 20% and no1 would probably even notice
I don’t play Hunter. But if i had to i would go Lone Wolf because i personally hate pets, so leave Lone Wolf alone. Maybe the 35% bonus is too high so tune it down to 25%, or make it work only with Shots/Strikes instead of all damage.
I gotta say I’m getting quite bored of playing basketball every fight just to get a decent rotation off.
Its such a tricky problem, because without these broken trap mechanics, Hunters probably going to be out scaled incredibly quickly.
Unfortunately I think the class needs a rework and an alternate mode of playstyle, if we’re hard stuck to being DPS only, we need to be highly competitive, but that irks other players.
Tank spec would be great, but I’m worried were too late now for that to be considered, which is a massive shame.
The new changes are great however and I hope it opens up some new gameplay options.
Edit: I’ll add, Hunters are probably the class most plagued with talent/rotation and gameplay changes we’re constantly swapping spec, as a consideration it would be good to make pets easier to level and tier sets able to be traded out. Across the board for other classes as well.
Yeah feels very different than Vanilla hunter, was not a fan of the basketball meta but somehow it grew a bit (that its atleast a skillshot, but rotation feels a bit clunky).
I just want to play a ranged hunter with a pet, not forced into going lone wolf since hunter scaling is soo crap that we end up doing no damage with out it.
Tip is also make sure you are using the cast @cursor macros for your traps - atleats its barable the rotation, still bit clunky but not as much.
