I got a feeling these rewards might be going to the new Trading Post coming in 1 Feb. So if you missed out you will just need to work towards them in another way. I could be wrong but that is my guess. If I am wrong then its just another stupid missed opportunity by the devs to keep people hooked.
About that,iv heard about people getting their gametime “frozen” until they get back (from x date to y date) due to off shore work or military service / deployment due to them having 12month subs active.
I aint scared of not being good enougu, these mounts lost their value the moment u can buy them for gold.
However it also requires you to play every single season which i think is more the point OPs talking about
This chars only 1 day old, felt like going back to melee. So made a paladin. For a class ive never tried before. Its actually alot of fun, id recommend it.
To what blizzard decide regarding these mounts: i have little care, i aint a mount collector. If i want a ksm mount i will get it.
I just havent played for the prior 2 expansions, except S3 which i got ksm for lol prolly will push for KSM this season, it doesnt seem that hard overall. My shadow priest got to 1800 pretty fast.
They don’t Freeze your game time. What will happen is that when you return, message GM and they will check to see if you have used your Gametime during that period and refund it.
I’m not sure how that happens if you still have active time when you return.
P.s they consider using the forums as logging into the game.
Coming from someone that has both CMs i would like them to stay unobtainable like everything else from AoTC mounts, glad mounts to things like corrupted ashbringer. These items are cool because you CANT get them, ask for new challenges and rewards, no need to focus on old stuff.
You can obtain every KSM by simply playing for 1 month of the season, which lasts 6 months. It isnt like seasons are that short.
However, alot of players dont actually play current content they solo old content. So i would be curious to if season rewards do turn out to be blizzard shooting themselves in the foot regarding games replayability.
This game has more mount collectors then competitive players tho. Thats someyhing to consider.
But those players still have 99% of the items still available to collect.
It’s on them if they choose not to participate in the current challenges.
Sitting back and farming old content isn’t the focus of the game. Growing your collection isn’t the focus of the game. They’re both fun things to do in the game, don’t get me wrong.
Progressing through challenges is the focus of the game, whether it’s maxing your renown, killing Razsegeth or pushing to Keystone Hero.
Never said you did, however theres a reason the advertisement for boosts are focused around its mounts. And gives away the audience who are buying them in majority.
Raider IO tracks key completions. And shows the number of people who get KSM are actuallt 15%, 85% is just a larger number.
Ofcourse not.
Blizzard want this design so they can generated token cash from boost buyers.
But regardless to which.
If u use a KSM mount most people will assume u bought boosts, unless they know you. Because theres more boost buyers then players earning it.
Since its just pixels theres literally no reason ever to make them available again.
For others its awards for being there and doing the content, motivation to keep pushing and playing the game.
I can see you want to argue for arguing sake and it is to early on a Monday to do that. If you get so upset about others having the same pixels as you so be it were as i do not care it is just a game.
And again, this other guy used WoWDB to argue the exact opposite (okay, he was arguing Keystone Challenger the conversation was about gearing).
Blizzard know that Boosters will be selling, but that’s not really the purpose for the design.
It’s designed to encourage participation in the game at a given moment. Such as imagine logging in and nobody is playing because they can all just wait until expansion and farm the reward.
Token sales just go around everything else. Such as crafting, buying consumables etc etc.
Thats simply not true.
I don’t look at anyone who has it who paid for a boost. However if I see them with it and they’re failing on mechanics they should know, then I will assume they have a boost.
But you’re Boosting argument isn’t a reason to have these available later on.
