Secondary stat value question

A quick question, does anyone know what exactly they did to manage to get secondary stat value below main stat value?

I know that they added diminishing returns, but i don’t think that is all. Sec stats used to be about twice as valuable as primary in many cases, just adding some diminishing returns wouldn’t change this dramatically i think, so what exactly did they do?

Did they add % scaling to primary stats? But that can’t be otherwise secondary stats would also pick up in value.

They most like increased spells/ attacks value u get from main stat .

Like for example 100 str increased mortals strike dmg by 1000 now 100str increase mortals strike dmg by 1500 .

Nothing oficial, u should probably checks all logs and datas ( might not be possible) to see what it realy was.

But im glad that this change happended .

I’m fine with them increasing the value of primary stats, but i definitely did not like the diminishing returns.

The DR isnt even hiting that much in s3 . Its past 30 iirc and “only” 10% dr .

Idk what stats u stacks but its not a big issue

And before that, Primary stats were worth more than secondary. I remember I was really annoyed when they overbuffed the value of secondaries so much. Was it Legion?

And removed primary stats from jerwlry. :frowning:

There’s a reason they were called Primary.

What exactly they did? There’s an internal formula or scale that says A amount of crit points gives B% extra crit chance (at level C, existing crit level D). Nothing easier than to mess with that table.

Why does it matter exactly what values they used? You could go check out old versions of Simulationcraft or something if you really want the internals.

Id rather just not have it though, since they already changed the primary stat scaling, the dr was unnecessary.

I am not against primary stats being more important, but i am against diminishing returns. Since secondary stats actually do something for your rotation. While primary stats are just damage.

Well DR was always in the game , but at some points it was set so high u wouldnt even notice .

And anyway, with or without DR, u most likely want other stats after certain value in one, for dps.

Yea, but that’s the difference between soft diminishing returns based on simple math and stat distribution, and hard diminishing returns.

Which are based on an arbitrary number that the devs decide.

But u arent hiting that hard cap are you?
Or u refer to 10% as hard ?

I’m making a pretty simple point to understand.

I don’t get why you are having so much trouble.

Re read the previous post.

I understood your point, im asking you if u think 10% is hard dr for you.

That literaly means that if u would have enough rating to hit 40% of stat it will only give you 39% .

First of all i dont think there is much people at 40% of rating, not even talking about more .

Second, 1% of secondary stat is nothing gamebreaking.

So once again, whats your issue with this “soft DR” ?

Are we gonna continue with this back and forth of you not understanding, or purposefully misunderstanding what i said?

Read the thing.

What thing ? Whole point is there is DR that you dont like and im trying to understand if that 1% of secondary stat( maybe not even in your case) is all that bothers you .
