I started the line of achievements toward this on my hunter, but became so frustrated farming the stygia dust and silver that I purchased the dowswer on my druid when she got the rep. She now cannot buy the codex from Ven’ari and I deleted what my hunter had… now she cannot either! This means I am stuck and though I have raised tickets there is nothing the GM’s can do… submitted a bug report and now hoping that they can sort it before I go mad running everywhere. I will kill the shade hound each time I can… but that is a long shot… anyone able to help me?

It may be that you need to go get a new one on your Hunter and / or get one for your alt - I’m guessing it’s not account-wide unlock but something you need to have before you can buy the codex as it’s required to complete one of the steps later on.
