Secret Supply Chest timer?

There are a lot of speculation on how these mechanics are designed yet someone has allegedly confirmation from a GM that the spawn-timer occurs:

  • 5-40 mins randomly amongst the 3 predetermined spawn locations.

Can anyone else confirm this is true?

I and others have experienced a far longer waiting time and up to more than 1 hour. Debunking/reaffirming this isn’t easier with the obscure sharding system in place.

The only thing I’ve noticed is the secret supply chest:

  • Spawns immediately when the event begins or within a short period of time (not longer than 20 mins.)
  • Does not spawn at the same location for a long time (assuming you’re still in the same shard)

If you have some similar or different insight on this, please do share.

Dunno about the timing but wanted to add something : in 8.2 there are supply drops in Nazjatar, and the PvP NPC tells you to check your map and get there.

It didn’t work on the ptr last time i checked, but since they are adding something to the supply drops system they maybe changed when it happens in the ptr.
