I don’t wanna jump on the hate train, but i have to. I have never been more disguisted in my life on a sales tactic. This is not a humane tactic. “Gameplay First”. Blizzards own words. You guys have abandond us for your money. Money isn’t creating ur sucess alone, it’s ur supporters, the ones who has payed for WoW for 14 years, 13 years, 12 years, etc. The ones who bought celestial steed or bought ur games, because they LOVED, they loved u… No matter how much money they gave u, U BLIZZ gave them what they deserved. Now look. Everybody is disguisted at you, you’re the kid in the class which NOBODY talks to, NOBODY wants to be around. Everyone but Activision is abadoning ur games.
What CEO? Blizzard has only a president now, hahahaha. I don’t wanna talk with Bobby, yeah he is a nice guy but qoute “We wanna take the fun out of video games” he said, so i dont think he is the right person to talk to.
How is this marketing tactic “inhumane”? Do people even think about the words they use anymore? They are just selling mounts in a video game, not cluster bombs.
You do know that the guys who model these mounts are exclusively graphical artists, and them being assigned to work on a paid mount for a month doesn’t detract from the efforts to, say, tweak classes or develop raids (In terms of mechanics, testing, and bug fixing, anyway)?
Like I’m not one to question the ethics of ‘micro’-transactions in a subscription game but like… it’s not quite as bad as some people make it out to be.
To be fair most items have been up for ages and blizzard having a ingame christmas sale won’t really surprise me at all. My greatest gripe with it are the words “Limited time” and “hibernation” showing up in the same deal; aka - they might return later at ordinary prices making this sale look very disqusting.
I almost fell for it too. Started to calculate how much gold I would need to get the bundle but then realized that all of those items are pretty bad. Really the only thing in that bundle that I find interesting is Lil’ XT so I might get that one with a token.
