Seeking Levelling Advice

Hi all,

Iv got a few level 120s right now but I’m looking to level another, it’s safe to say after 4 times the questing is getting a bit dull, I don’t mind but it feels like I’m missing a trick here?

Iv heard stories of Islands or someone else mentioned time walking, do people have any thoughts on what is the fastest Levelling?

Timewalk, islands, do some bg’s meanwhile.

And done.

First and foremost, get yourself some heirlooms if you haven’t already. Those are the single greatest bump in levelling speed there is barring buying a boost.

Horde vendor:

Other than that I’d suggest you quest, quest, quest. Dungeons used to be the way to go, but they were nerfed so questing is the most efficient way now. Remember, you can do any zone up to 60, as long as you meet the minimum level for it. That means you can quest in the Barrens at level 50, etc.

Start at the breadcrumb, then follow the questlines until you complete the zone > Move onto the next one. If pure speed is what you’re after, stick to zones you’re familiar with, the layout and quests and whatnot.

Lastly, you could try a few levelling addons. I’ve heard good things about this one, but I’ve never tried it myself.

And once you hit Draenor, you’ll want to level by collecting treasure. That’ll get you from 90 → 100 in literally a few hours.

Once you get to 58 you can hit either Outland or Northrend. These are purely personal taste. Likewise with Cataclysm or Pandaria at level 80.

Once you’ve got to level 100, keep an eye open for the Legion Invasions. They’ll easily give you an entire level each. They’ll be on your world map, you can’t miss 'em.

Hope that helps.

This is from the old forums. It’s doesn’t go above 110 as it was created last April but gives a guide as to fastest levelling zones. With herbing and mining for extra xp and heirlooms it’s a good guide to follow still

Friend said it took “like 13 TW dungeons” to go from 110 to 120. Haven’t tested personally so can’t confirm.

Also as far as BG leveling goes

That’s the XP yield from the first win of the day in 111-119 bracket.

Twin Peaks, but the % of xp is roughly the same for a win in any BG afaik (maybe a bit higher in EBGs?), was a hair under 50% of single level with the first win iirc.

Draenor is by far the hardest content to do, even with heirlooms and the fastest way to clear it is doing the bonus objectives as those gives a huge amount of exp. And the good thing is that you can go to Legion content at 98. Get some better gear from Legion and go back to draenor to clear the bonus objectives as those still gives you more exp than in legion. even the quests at 98-99 gives almost double exp in Draenor than in Broken Isles

always have rested, use heirlooms, do quests whilst waiting for 5man instances/pvp procs, definitely do profs and archaeology when youre questing (but don’t go out of your way to do em, just if you happen to be passing and theres a node). Islands etc are fine but pretty dull gameplay. 5mans better as you don’t tend to get the same one within the same level bracket that often.
Rested is the big one, that’s vital. To enable this, you either take breaks with levelling of a week or so … or, as I do, have 2-3 alts being levelled at the same time. Once one runs out of rested, move to the next one

You can take way opposite road of questing untill level 90. Then you have to go through the same quests mostly, because there are not many zones.

I mostly did treasures in WoD but that is better with flying. Or a friend who can fly.
