I wonder if it be a tank, i like evoker i think my primary reason i dont main it is because of 1 dps only situstion.
Feels abit risky to main a specc, rather then a class. Espically with how fast balance patchs are being churned out

Eeeh itd prolly make me wanna main thr class for S2 to have a additonal dps specc, i just rly dont like maining 1 dps option classes.
But i cant see a reason to make it another dps, unless its going to be a melee dps. Which would be awesome, id love it to get one. But i just get a feeling it will be a tank
I wonder what they mean by “support specialization”. Buffs and debuffs? Group members empowerment? Half-heal/half-dps spec?
I don’t want to say “I knew it” or even “it is destiny” but…
it could be something like this:
Against Adds: Apply something like a warlock curse to make enemyes take more damage
To Allyes: Buff allyes like Power Infusion like a priest to upgrade someone’s stats to make them do more damage.
Something like that would be really cool IMO
they should really make it a big buff spec like 25% dmg or healing and stuff so its worthwhile and viable to play with
But seriously, please give us a dracthyr bard spec so that my alt’s name is prophetic rather than stupid

It would make such a spec a musthave, if it turns out the debuffs and buffs make finishing the content easy. Thus, besides mandatory tank/heal specs we would also need to look for an evoker
Than BM monks would remember they could storm, earth and fire, resto druids they could summon treants, fire mages they could summon phoenix pets… yeah, would complicate things too much tbh.
MDI have proven that specs that have strong dps and strong support ability jak VE/natures vigil for sure have a place in game.
problem will be if they will make it as strong support but low dps. then it will be mostly ignored.
they should make it tank spec based on black dragonflight instead doing stupid experiments.
That would be really really awesome indeed and expected, but feels extremely unlikely… three reasons:
Could be a spec where you buff/heal others by DPSing. Would be a win/win? More DPS spec, but one with a support aspect to it.
From the article it seems like they are thinking of another ranged spec, which is just boring to me. I’d really like an enhancement type spec for them.
the other 2 points i agree, but if they got to, it’s possible.
FIre breath would still work: it’s a good AoE ability a tank could use to gain aggro from a pack of mobs and do some damage.
They could also make an ability that summons a shield around you: The higher the level of empower, the Higher the shield absorb but lower the time of the shield.
Im genuinely curious if there wouldnt be any problems with your defensive capabilities going down to zero while empowering spells.
I vaguely remember something like prot paladins being incapable of blocking when they hardcast heals (?), hence as a tank you always prefer insta casts
If the spec is there to amplify your damage a lot of bosses will melt, bard will become a free invite for anyone willing to play it, the down side seems that multiple bards would not stack their buffs so other evoker would have to switch spec. Raid wise i wonder if this mean a 3 healer +bard or 2 healer +bard. In pvp will be an interesting addiction, i am still upset that this class got no tank!
