Pretty much as the title says.
I get it, the idea of Seething Shore is pretty cool, especially on paper. But god damn is it buggy, in the worst possible way, and its a good cause of driving players away from PvP.
Some people, such as myself, have been cursed by something, I have no idea what it is, but at the start of the BG (and sometimes in the middle of it), if you do not type /reload upon reaching the ground, you won’t see enemy players on the ground. Instead what would end up happening on your screen is you getting deleted by some invisible force, usually a hunter oddly enough, shooting you from what appears to be their airship, with no possible way of retaliating as you are unable to target said player.
Every time I enter this BG I need to type /reload and pray I do not get deleted by the time it takes for the loading screen to complete and sync me properly server side. Mind you there’s players that do not know about this and will end up just costing you the BG because of it.
Its just a miserable mess, and seeing as how Blizzard are more than happy to remove some buggy arena maps until they are fixed, such as Dalaran Sewers and Ruins of Lordaeron, they should also remove Seething Shore from the BG pool for the time being.
Lets face it, Azerite hasn’t been relevant for who knows how many expansions now. Its weird we are still fighting over this resource anyway, its not mentioned anywhere else in the lore to my knowledge following BFA. I’m sure there won’t be that many people that actually end up missing this BG. It was a complete mess even for organized groups to navigate, which is why it got removed from the Rated BG pool. If that is the case, why does Blizzard expect randoms to perform any better?
Then again, I get it. It is called SEETHING shore for a reason, as it makes you SEETHE and want to break your monitor and uninstall the game out of rage at how bad it is. Having to /reload might as well be the least of the problems this BG has.
Please blizzard, maybe make this bg just a Brawl event. And replace it with something actually good, like Arathi Blizzard, which is a spectacularly designed and fun alternative to Arathi Basin.
Its a win win situation getting rid of Seething Shore. People wont seethe and uninstall the game, new players wont be confused why they get deleted by 10k aimed shots from the Gunship that shouldnt be taking part in the battle, and people will get to play some of the better designed BGs that aren’t part of the legacy left behind from the piece of vomit that BFA was.
