That why there are level boosts…
Up to level 60 right now then you are required to level to 70.
And 70 will be released down the line.
God forbid people have to spend an hour levelling a character amirite.
Not to exclude there already are levelling boost services available from boosters in game for gold.
On my opinion Boosting for gold shouldnt be allowed at all.
That it’s being allowed breaks the immersion to players who try to reach something their selves and it causes a lot of trouble having someone boosted in your party which is nutrient for toxic behaviors
Different strokes for different folks. Modern players seem to hate the idea of levelling and just want to jump into the game and all it’s content straightaway.
Those people shouldn’t play an mmorpg then and go to call of duty or anything where you get instant gratification.
Thats why you have different genres in games, not every genre should be made for every type of person.
True but again modern gaming thinks of this as an archaic ideology. They want instant gratification anyway. I do not see the problem with this at all. Which is why I say a progressive gaming company will always provide choice and try to accommodate all types of consumers. That’s just me and my thoughts.
they can buy boosts but they can’t get guaranteed loots, with that way it’ll be possible which is the official way of p2w.
The choice is already there though,
Level boosts exist, at the end of an expansion max level is able to be boosted to. I don’t think Blizzard should offer any other type of assistance, if people want to jump in wow max level everything ready to go they are on the wrong address and if that means they don’t want to play wow than that sucks for them.
I’m not in favor of catering to everyone, it only creates a bad design and overall the game will suffer if that mentality is enforced.
No, they can already just jump into wow max level, if they wanna do that Why would it suck for them? I leveled my mage recently too and could immediately craft 5 pieces of 395 gear very cheaply, buy some 376 gear off the AH and immediately had access to LFR, and got a heroic ilvl piece from the weekly in like 2-3 hours total. Then I got shadowflame sparks and with the sparks I could immediately craft 3 pieces of 424 gear lol
Again you correct. Purchasing a character off the AH or buying a character boost will always lead to token buying for gear boosting. The difference is you will skip the levelling process that players seem to detest.
I can respect that but you always going to have two sides on this subject.
So you basically levelled, got to barely 410 ilvl and spent more than an hour in the game.
Literally proving my point lol, you just said I was wrong and proved me right in the same response.
Some people on here
Character purchasing on the AH is the worst way of solving this, I’d prefer if they added a max level boost on the shop to raise them to 70.
Purchasing characters is so unlike anything an mmorpg should stand for, idk why people would even want to support it, it’s a convoluted and worse way than to just alter the services we already have in the game from 60 to 70.
Yep and if only they would do this from the start and not much later
Well it’s pretty clear why they do it, it’s because you’re gonna have randy joe bloke come in, buy a 70 boost, have every feature unlocked and not know about it and proceed to complain the game has nothing to do because he doesn’t even know what is going on all he knows hes in valdrakken at max ilvl and nothing about the story or features of the expansion.
It really would be
Although there’s maybe an argument for selling a naked character without gear - that’s just a levelling service, and it would shut down those 3rd party services that offer it. And if someone is inclined to pay in gold rather than level themselves, it’s not much different vs buying level boost tokens. Blizz would sort of win either way.
They changed women into fruit bowls and removed jokes that were considered to “edgy” and you think they will add an auction for people?
Me three. The only characters I would want to sell are level 10-20 twinks I never really liked and so could be done by everyone.
A solution already exists. It’s called the level boost. If you have enough gold to create Battle.net balance you can get a level 60 direct from blizzard.
(For clarity here, I’m referring to the level 60 in the in game shop, NOT recommending the various boosting services which are let’s be honest, bad for the game)
No its not a good idea to sell characters in an RPG Game…
imagine this: log on, buy a maxed lvl character, buy some m+\raid runs, gear up and now….Play?
Play what exactly? You’ve paid others to Play now you can go back to work.
Sadly, this is already true even without that horrible idea. But it sure as hell doesn’t help.
