Selling mythics, hcs loot and whatnot

Imho they pollute the game

Ban they who try to sell hc/mythic runs in general chat. It doesnt belong in this game.

The blame is on both sides, not just the sellers.

It’s the sellers fault because they’re basically removing all ways of knowing if a player is good or not, since most/all end game things can just be brought (Achievement, gear, etc).

It’s the buyers fault for actually buying it. Supply and demand and all that.

The same thing can be said for Multi-boxers who farm mats and sell them on the AH, it lowers the price of mats and ruins it for those who only ever use 1 account.

Nothing will ever be done about them. Doesn’t matter how many people hate them (Me included), it’s never gonna happen.

It’s not the buyers that spam the chat, it’s the advertisers. They’re what annoys people.

True, the lovely level 1’s that get paid to do it. But, the same could be said for guild invites and other things as well.
I usually just add the channels to separate windows and never go to them again xD.

Edit: One of the biggest reasons I don’t think it’ll ever be stopped is because MOST who pay for these services (So, M+ and HC raiding) usually use money they earned from buying a WoW token and selling it for gold.
So, just like Mutliboxers, Blizzard are making money off of them, so it won’t be removed.

y i know that deep within…

I might pay gold for a run to get gear or a mount but I don’t then use it to get in to groups.
I use it for my world content. I don’t think I’m hurting anyone with that.

You’re not the type of player that causes problems with this. Honestly, if it were just the type of players like you, who only do it a few times just for self-gain basically, then I don’t think it would be as big a problem as it is.

I’ll give you a story about the people who bug me with it personally. In Uldir, on my Alliance Character, I created a HC group, and only invited people who were 360+ ilvl and had AoTC (I didn’t have it on my Alliance, but I did have it on this and knew the fights).
So, got a group sorted, got to Taloc, wiped once before killing it. Taloc was a free farm boss, mechanics were really easy (Only annoyance being the lasers). So, I had my doubts on some people.
Next, Mother. Took us 5-6 attempts before finally killing her, because some people didn’t understand the wall mechanic, or didn’t stand in the swirly’s. I got even more anxious about the group.

Then came Fetid. Now, Mythic Fetid was over-tuned and extremely strong (From what I was told). But, HC Fetid was a very easy boss, just a tank and spank. Didn’t even need to worry about the blobs, just hit the boss and it would die. That is, if people were pulling the damage.
We wiped 4-5 times before I called it, since 3/4 of the DPS were doing 4-5k DPS… At 360 ilvl… So, I’m taking a guess here, those 3/4 got carried through for their AoTC, either by their guild, or by the services.

Now, I’m not the best player, far from it in fact. This Sunday was the first time I ever saw Orange logs on this (Doing Normal BoD). I hadn’t played this for the raid in a few weeks, and spent those weeks getting used to a change I knew I needed to make.
But, even back then, on my Alliance lock, at 350-355 ilvl, I was pulling 9-10k DPS. So, these 360+ players should have ALL been doing at least that.

This, in the end, basically ruined mine and my guilds raiding night. There were only 4-5 of us in the guild who raided, so we had to pug. But, because of these “selfish” people who used the boosts to get in to groups, it affected all 4-5 of us.

Sorry for the long story, wasn’t expecting it to be too long xD

I know from experiance how annoying it is to raid with people that can hardly hold down the faintest dps while dying to the most basic attacks even though they have no reason to.

So I can see that side of it too.

this has always been in the game - Blizz did nothing in 2004, why would they change their stance 15 years down the line - its an in game economy that keeps people paying subs and buying tokens.

I have never seen the appeal and do a little Trade Chat baiting when I’ve had a few beers - but the game can be so competitive at the cutting edge some people feel the need

I don’t see the harm.

At the end of the day the more issues it creates for PUG the more it will push the community back towards guilds and friend grouping.

I think of it as a 2 tier system.

Those who have fun with voice chat over a few beers a couple of times a week or so and those who sit staring at a screen hurling abuse at each other

Can I be both? I mean, get a few drinks in me and I become an A$$hole xD

It’s part of the economy, I see no problem with Blizzard continuing to allow it.

The real issue is the token gold. People buying these runs had to at least gather the gold now they can also just buy the gold and then buy the run … it’s stupid.

But you are creating demand. That’s equally as bad as selling the boost.

If they are selling it for gold its fully legal.

Its bad but at the same time its good. Similar to the Raid IO thing.

But mythics in it self is bad, gear should be 400 ilvl across the mythics and raids should be the one that rewards you with the 415 one.
