Hi guys, I just wanna get some clarification on selling a old TBC collectors edition I have had since release of said game back then. I could use the money, but is this 100% safe from a legal pov? The game is registered to this account back in 2007 or whenever it was.
I also never “cashed in” on the pet, but I know this is likely not to work, aka people cant get TBC pet anymore unless it was maybe a 100% sealed and new copy thats never been opened yes?
You can sell the physical items (box, disk, manuals, any goodies), Blizzard cannot forbid that under the first sale doctrine.
However I don’t believe Blizzard will permit the transfer of the game licence to someone else. So if you have ever installed the game from the media you are selling, then the actual physical media is useless to the buyer, and you need to make them fully aware of that.
It’s useless if it was unused as well, Blizzard stopped adding the special pets and stuff to accounts long ago. So when you sell it you need to say so.
I still have my original game too on 4 CD-ROMs, not a DVD-ROM
