Selling transmog items

Hello, i have a question regarding making gold from selling transmog items.

I have found quite a lot of them during legacy raid runs, yet no matter what they just dont seem to sell? I can list them all i want and nobody seems to buy them. Same goes for greens and greys.

Most items go for quite high prices, but whats the point if nobody is buying?

So i was wondering, are there transmog items that can be farmed that do sell? Or atleast are there people who have a steady gold income from farming any mog items?

Some items has good looking while others are not. If you put a light saber like sword for a reasonable price on auction house, it will find a buyer. But listing anything won’t get you anywhere because if said item can be dropped easily, why would anyone pay for it instead of trying their luck.

And as far as I know, not all items are on cross realm auction house list, like weapons and armors. So if you try to sell them on a low populated realm it’s natural that you are having hard times trying to sell them.

Items like mogs or battle pets can be expensive but they sell extremely slow due to low demand.
If you want to make quick money you can lower the price significantly so another trader buys it and flips it. Basically you’re paying him a broker’s fee for keeping the item relisted until it sells.

I’ve been trying this for weeks with a particular BoE raid piece from SL. All that’s happened is the goblins have dropped from their original 300k price down to 100k. None of them bought mine :pensive:

So what would be a good way of obtaining gold? It seems to me like mogs is the last place to look right now

Mogs from legacy dungeons and raids dont sell that much as they are quite easy to farm.
The mogs that sometimes sell for insane amount of money are rare world drops or some rares from island expeditions.

Idk, some of my guildies do boosting in M+, I tend to farm augment runes from dungeons and sometimes lfr.
Haven’t looked into farming mats and my profs (lw/skinning) turned out to be quite useless. Can’t speak for other methods.

I find it kind of cute anytime people ask for gold making tips the usual reply is Sell boosts lol

Its either that or a classic GDKP run really, sad days for me

Anything of value takes a long time to sell. I have relisted the same BOE stuff even from DF a few times before it sold, sometimes the relist sold for more than my original posting. It’s a long game selling big ticket items

it could also be about the realm you’re playing in tho. if it’s a low pop one it can take even longer to sell
