Was wondering if there is a limit to how much gold you can send to your toons. I recently tried to send gold from my alts to main. The gold gets send but when I try to retrieve the gold from the post box the envelope goes grey but I can’t take the gold.
All the alts are in the same guild and on the same realm. Tried disabling add -ons but nothing and tried searching for a solution or something to indicate you are limited but came up empty.
Yep thought you can send as much gold to your own characters as long as its the same faction. I tried a smaller amount and it worked. Seems you capped at 500 000 per character per day. If you try send more it wont let you take it out of the post box. Cant find anything to verify this though?
That’s weird. What Puny said plus found this convo
Did you try to attach sth else to tha mail? What if you don’t send all the gold at once? Try different amounts. But it’s super weird. I’d try a few things and then just open a ticket indeed. It shouldn’t happen.
I eventually found the problem - clearly I am mathematically challenged . It appears you can only have a limited amount of gold per character and the reason I cannot take this out of the post box is because I am exceeding that limit. Looks like I will have to go shopping on the AH to offload my excess wealth - which was my intention all along.
I should remember not everyone is poor like me and people do actually sit on gold cap on multiple chars. Next time someone has this issue, I’ll remember to get them to check their wealth.
lol trust me this is an accumulation over many expansions I have never bought an expansion using wow tokens so once I am done shopping I will be poor again.
I do this passively and with the two guilds i joined living and dying so quickly. I have used the time off to do the daily emissary quests. You will be surprised at how quickly your balance climbs. But yes, it does get redundant after a while which is why I cant wait for s4 to start.
