Hi,
is it possible to send a letter to my friend to Firemaw realm, which is locked for new commers? I have tried with an error “You cant send mail to that realm”

I don’t think cross realm mail is possible with classic realms. BTW you are risking being eaten alive by posting classic stuff here on retail forums. 
I’m afraid it’s not possible in Classic or Retail.
In Retail we can mail BoA stuff across realms or if the realms are connected (Blizzards answer to realm merges) we can mail anything to them.
No, it’s not allowed. Mostly ro prevent items and gold being sent across markets; however, even just messages aren’t allowed.
You could use Battlenet, form a party group, or use in-game communities to talk to others across servers. If you’re wanting to use the in-game mailing system for novelty, RPing, or just because you don’t know the recipient that well, you’re a bit scuppered.
The only reason I can think of Blizzard not changing this is to limit the potential for abuse. If people can send letters to others across servers, it increases the likelihood of harassment (if they’re not dedicated enough to go down the route of making new alts for that purpose).
The single use of the Mail Box is to send items and gold to people, and since Items and Gold are Realm Bound to protect the economy, I can’t think of any reason what-so-ever you would need to have Realm-wide mail.
Don’t even pretend you’re sending love letters to people through the mail box 
You can create a character on their realm and mail them from that.
Except Firemaw is locked so you can’t make a new character there unless you already have one.
Assuming you don’t have that friend on bnet, I’d recommend trying some other way to contact them.
You could try to post on the Firemaw forum, to ask anyone checking that forum (I’m sure some of the people checking it actually play there) to send a message to your friend.
You just need to specify if your friend is Alliance or Horde, and mention the character name of your friend, and then what message you need sent to that person. Hopefully someone will send it for you.
Or you could try the same on the Burning Crusade Classic general forum, and hope someone who plays on Firemaw reads the thread.
